Okay, this really isn't a reference to a park, but this week's episode of Pushing Daisies was an hour long reference to Pete's Dragon. First off the episode is named "the Legend of Merle McQuoddy." Merle is a lighthouse keeper who is lost at sea ten years prior, his wife Nora keeps up the maintenance on the lighthouse in the hopes he will return safely. There is even a cave on the beach in which one character hides out. The McQuoddys have a son name Elliot. There is even a scene in which an acapella group sing "Candle on the Water." I am really really going to miss this show. Darnit ABC!

edit* The show is also narrated by Jim Dale who play Doc Terminus in Pete's Dragon. UGH! I can't believe ABC is ruining television.

It's probably been mentioned around here before, but Thunder in Paradise was an almost supernaturally bad show that was entertaining for trying to figure out what bit of WDW they were shooting on.

That aspect of the show was so much fun that if it had been a good show, it would have been a real victory for Disney.

In one episode, they shoot the tiny Canadian rocky waterfall area from every possible angle to try to make it look like they're in actual nature. Many shots are cut off right before you'd see the castle, the monorail, some other Disney icon, or even just a lamppost.

There are a lot of scenes at the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian, and it's fun to try to figure out in which direction they're shooting.

The show itself isn't interestingly bad enough to be so-bad-it's-good, it's just kind of boring and poorly acted. Watching Chris Lemmon is painful...I can only imagine what Jack Lemmon thought of his poor son.

I really felt bad for him. It must suck to be the son of a screen legend and not have inherited any of the talent. I suppose he had a certain charisma, and Hulk Hogan is sort of a curiosity on his own, but it's not enough to build a show around.

Oh, did I mention the transforming superboat?

I honestly never knew about that show. Watched that clip and it was great to see that they made their way around to the parks. Found it comical how they were stealing a fake lamppost between the two phone booths in Great Britain at Epcot. (I checked this out and there is really another pay phone between the two phone booths and no lamp).

They did a lot of shooting in Fort Wilderness that was supposed to be various jungles around the world (I think one of the characters was allegedly a Nam vet).

They also tried to pass off the Seven Seas Lagoon, Bay Lake, and the World Showcase Lagoon as the ocean all the time, and it was funny seeing the water transform from brown to blue-green when they made the edits.

Various things exploded from time to time (I think they even tried to pass off Catastrophe Canyon as a legit scene) and there were usually some bikini chicks hanging around trying to distract you from the overall badness of the show.

And, y'know, a transforming superboat.

Well just saw Bedtime Stories today which I found out when I entered the theater was a Walt Disney Pictures film, so I turned my spidey sense on. In the opening credits the Walt Disney pictures castle came in with a nice piece of "When you Wish Upon a Star". The movie then worked in many references including one to Goofy, and one to a magical kingdom. Finally there was the great cameos by none other than Buzz Lightyear and Tinker Bell

The movie overall was really good and I enjoyed it a lot. I definitely like catching all the references.. It is really fun to do.

SNL just did a great skit on Aladdin. They were singing along to "A Whole New World". Extremely funny!

SNL has done quite a bit of Disney sketches or added Disney in a lot of their work so it's amusing to see what they'll do next.

elizabethswann, I didn't realize SNL does Disney references! Can you give me an example!? I watch SNL from time to time and never really noticed that. Was it from older skits, or do they still do it now?

I can't remember off the top of my head, to be honest. I know Family Guy has done a bunch. They did Lady and the Tramp once parodying the spaghetti scene, Peter sang a song that was parodying "When You Wish Upon A Star" and there are plenty of others that I can't think of right now.

Paul Blart Mall Cop: Disney store in the background of one scene. It was a newly designed store where the entrance is the giant red mickey.

If you want to see the SNL skit about Aladdin just go to http://www.Hulu.com they have it there. Rosario Dawson is the star that is in the skit.......Hawt!!!!!

The Simpson's episode "Itchy & Scratchy Land" is mostly based on Disneyland and with the last scene based on Euro Disney. There are also many Disney references in that episode too as told on the Wikipedia page. It's one of my favorite Simpsons episodes and I was glad to see it on last week.
