Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

The meet and greet is one of the perks you get! You just show your Disney Visa, they give you a ticket, and you can have up to 12 members in your party. Give them about an hour, you take your ticket to the photo center right under SSE, and they will give you a free 5x7 from the photo shoot for free!!!! It's awesome! You can do it up to 6 times during your stay!!!!

Here's from our most recent trip!

We thought this was an usual combo! You will meet one of the Fab 5, you just don't know who!!!

Thanks for the info and that is a very unique combination from the fab 5. I think it might be time to get the card. Just that perk alone is worth the money.

99Soulz wrote:Yeah, there's all kinds of little perks just for being a cardholder but the points are the main thing for us. We put EVERYTHING on that card....Bills, Food, Gas, Restuarants - you'd be surprised how fast it adds up. Basically anything you spend during the month and then you pay it off so you don't carry a balance or get interest. Even big purchases like computers, TVs.....and trips to WDW of course!

You can easily rack up over a couple hundred points in a year so that's $200+ in your pocket to use for anything Disney. We always save them for trips to WDW and it usually pays for one of the park tix

If I can only get my mortgage company to let us pay by credit card we'd be set!!!

U and me both!! Rack up points with mortgage com. I called them jus in case i missed an email or letter sayn u can. I would be in heaven :ccat:

This may be repetetive but as it is a credit card I am cautious. I reading the benefits but how do you redeem these reward dollars. Is there a special place you can go to redeem? And if I am reading correctly, you can redeem these at Disney World at the time of your arrival?

In other words, say I spend $4000 in a calendar year on the card. At 1% that is $40 in Reward dollars. I can go up to whatever the location is and they will hand over that money? Do these points expire?

If I sound stupid its just because I am hesitating at the last screen where I submit the application.

Thanks,
Swede

They won't give you $40 cash, but you can get a Disney Rewards card with that amount of money, at certain places in Disneyworld (like Guest Relations at City Hall in MK). We had $500 for our last trip, so we ordered a couple of cards in advance. The Rewards cards are accepted at pretty much any Disney shop...We used our for a double stroller rental, among other things. We still have the cards, so we can refill them for our next trip (they are valid for a few years).

If you have two cards do they let you get two free photos? My dh has a card and I have an account. I also have a card on dh's account.

From their terms, it seems like you would (you have 2 accounts, your husband's and your own...the 2nd card on your husband's account wouldn't qualify you by itself):

"The Walt Disney World® Resort Character Meet 'N' Greet Event is offered once daily at a selected time at Epcot®. Separate Theme Park admission required. Must present a valid Disney Rewards Visa Card for entry for up to 6 people per card. Operating times, days of week, locations and appearance of Characters may vary and are subject to change without notice. Subject to availability and location capacity. Offer includes one complimentary 5 x 7 photo per valid Cardmember account."

You'd probably want to go on 2 separate days, since you might meet some different characters that way.

Im guessin and I would say yes as long as they have diff account numbers. Boilerbabe said in his forum that u can get up to 6 free pixs durin ur stay. So i would think they keep track of that with each account number. :ccat:

Yes, you can! On our last trip in May, I have an account and so do my parent's. So we each got our own ticket to claim a picture! It's a nice little perk!

So I wound up getting this card and boy do these points add up fast. I just built a new home and furnishing it has made this rack up points like no tomorrow. I do pay it off right away though as aI kind of treat my cards like cash, but man all of these little house projects now at least come with a bonus!

Post was great with good advice.

Thanks!

I have had a rewards card for years, and I always end up with a lot of disney dollars on a gift card, that I use at the parks.

We finally got the card in our family. It took some convincing, but mom and dad finally cracked. So looks like my college education is going to a good cause now!
