That's awesome! Wish I had one! They sell for a ridiculously high price on eBay, but some of the models are now available directly through Disney (not the Haunted Mansion one though).Chicery wrote:I keep the bags, tickets, maps, and fastpasses, but that's the only strange souveniers, I guess.
This isn't a weird souvenier, but an awesomely cool one: one of my friends loves trains, Disney, and the Haunted Mansion, so for his birthday, his parents got him the Haunted Mansion model that connects to the main Disney train set. It lights up, and it has a room with replaceable walls so you can see the elevator, the ballroom, and the graveyard scenes!
What is your oddest Disney parks souvenir?

One of the strangest, coolest and collectible items I own is a "Haunted Mansion"
secret panel chest. It is a wooden box that reveals a secret drawer when opened. Waxing nostalgic, I just dug it out and opened it. Wood's a little old and warped. It took me about 5 minutes to open it and about a half an hour to close it. The secret instructions used to be in the drawer, but they're gone.....Ghosts maybe.

I am one of those also who likes to keep all bags, maps, resort welcome folder, and the tickets to my clothes. Since we stayed at the Yacht Club you had to have a wrist band to show you are a resort guest in the pool. I saved all my wrist bands from every day. My oddest purchased souvenir this year is a plastic Interstate 4 sign with the 4 in mickey ears.

Nice! I love those, but haven't bought any yet. I always run to pins first, and then I forget to go back!Len90 wrote:I am one of those also who likes to keep all bags, maps, resort welcome folder, and the tickets to my clothes. I really like that paper thing too. Didn't know you were allowed to borrow that. I think next time (hopefully) we go, I might slip that into my carry on bag.metsofny wrote:I love the little paper thing I got with Jiminy Cricket telling me to reuse my towels. I love it.

How do you keep it from melting?Brian845 wrote:We've got a menu made of chocolate from Victoria & Alberts with our names on it, from when we ate there one evening (we were staying at the GF for our honeymoon)...About 8 years old now, and probably completely inedible. It's always been at room temperature. It's turned a bit whitish as old chocolate does, but it's still legible. I should find it and take a picture...Maybe then I can throw it out:).Clusty wrote:How do you keep it from melting?Brian845 wrote:We've got a menu made of chocolate from Victoria & Alberts with our names on it, from when we ate there one evening (we were staying at the GF for our honeymoon)...About 8 years old now, and probably completely inedible.
