MY Disney Store is gone.

My Disney store has changed into child's disney clothing store, thats just about all they sell.

I can remember all that great moving palster scupltures that it use to have, it was very impressive. It had a great disney world atmosphere about it. It was like being in a little peice of the park.

Here is an update on the Disney Store and some of Disney's plans for the stores.

Its ironic, according to the article, they are trying to get back to the original formula. Where customer service and a unique experience was key. They had a winning plan, that only failed when they got greedy trying to open a store in every mall, thus diluting the customer experience.

Gee.. haven't they learned that time and time again??!!? Disney Store, DCA, etc, etc

Disney.. if you are listening.... USE WHAT WORKS AND DON"T GET GREEDY!!!

The original ideals Walt stuck to are ONES THAT WORK, PERIOD.

I just find it so ironic that they have a winning formula yet they keep messing it up. Disney is about quality and the customer experience. The customer is not stupid and knows the difference, a soon as Disney goes off the rails it all fails. Disney please focus on being like Walt and the profits will follow, like they have in the past.

I hated when my old Disney Store closed. It was awesome, there was a whole section dedicated to the store. Before you enter there were two tile walls with Minnie and Mickey faces on them. Whenever you'd see them you knew what was coming up. Next, was the awesome window display. Mickey and the gang painting the window. It was so cute and clever. Also, the store was 2 floors, the upper part featured anything that featured the 90's lineup (Lion King, Little Mermaid, Aladin, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Hercules, Hunchback, etc.). They also had huge statues of them that moved. The center was a huge stuffed animal movie theather. The stuffed animals sat up and faced a giant screen which usually played Disney previews.
I miss it.
