I) DID buy a Mickey/minne christmas ornament with our wedding date on it on our honeymoon. (August 7, 2004) at that Christmas shop by the hall of presidents in WDW

We stopped there our last trip this year and got a Christmas ornament that Jen fell in love with. It was a mickey head ornament with a Jewish star in it b/c she's Christian and I'm Jewish. She saw it there and just had to get it.

Oooh I forgot about my watch... quite literally! I have this great Fossil bracelet style watch with the day of the week and the date on two separate, smaller chronographs, and yeah, they (along with the main, large time-of-day chronograph) form a Mickey head! But when I got it it was too big, I need some links taken out, and haven't done it. darn! Gotta get on that so I can sport my silvery Mickey goodness!

Yeah Penn doesn't pay much either. I was trying to get another job this past week but it didn't pan out. There were good and bad points to changing jobs.

Good points with changing:
more money!!!(always a bonus)
closer to what I want to do with my life.
get to help others.
possibility of working for disney in future.

Good points of staying:
Vacations, i get 2 vacation days a month and can build up to 24
Sick days 1 a month and can build up to 90 (Yes I typed 90)
Raises are next month.
I know everyone and everything I need too, here.
I can go to DL and WDW more often YA!!!!!!

I guess since it will be a rainy weekend I will take a few pics of the disney things I have, first I have to find them all, (that will take a while.

My Sister is a Surgeon At UPenn! hehe Her vacation is a bit different though. But yeah, working at a college has its perks too (5 weeks of vaca a year (including sick time.. if you don't use it, you lose it!... so I use it all!) I can carry over 3 weeks of vaca a year, and the medical benefits are good too. (we get short term & long term disability) The free Master's degree is definately a plus (They just started offreing them to employees 3 years ago) (8 classes down.. 3 to go!) Of course.. The fact that I get to personalize my office with disney stuff is AWESOME!
I can't wait to add more stuff to it from my Disney trip in Dec!

HEhehe, there are FOUR of us at the college (3 in IT, and Me.. formerly of IT, Presently in Pub.s) That listen to subsonic! All within a 75ft radius! It must be a computer thing! ;) (It was one of the IT people who turned me on to the site!)

Yeah, Penn says we don't get paid alot because the benefits are so great, but they can deffinatly afford to pay every employee an extra dollar or two an hour. They are build new condos that will be starting in the low $200,000 for a studio. I think they top out at 800. They just finished or are finishing some new town houses at 4400 Pine st. that start in the upper 300's and go to around 1.8 mil. plus all of the craziness going on over at HUP (hospital of the Univ. of Penn)

Is your Sister a human or animal surgeon? I ask because I'm over at the Veterinary Hospital, AND before anyone asks about BARBARO I will say this I work at the Philadelphia branch not the kennet square branch 30 or 40 miles away, but we do get updates. Officially he is doing the same, but unofficially he has been rearing up on his back legs DISCLAIMER: this doesn't mean he is going to make it but it is a great sign. They have been trying to keep him from doing that because it can agravate the injury, but keeping a race horse in a stall for two months makes it very difficult.
The full name of our place is MJR-VHUP, ready, The Mathew J. Ryan Veterinary Hostipal Of The University Of Pennsylvania, yeah we call it VHUP or RYAN. Anyway enough about that what was this thread about...........O'yeah.

I took pics of some of the things I have today. I grouped them together so that I could take fewer pics, I'm also a lazy picture taker so Don't expect much just a clump of disney things.

Oh man that Mickey/Minnie and the Sleeping Beauty cake toppers are the bomb! We're planning on doing a vow renewal at Disney in 2010 for our 20th -- long time off but I'm banking these ideas.

From what I can remember off the top of my head...

Numerous Disney films on DVD
Several Disney music CDs
Beanie Simba (With Lion King DVD)
Beanie Abu (With Aladdin DVD)
Beanie Thumper (With Bambi DVD)
Finding Nemo toy thingie (Free with some cerial a few years ago..)
Mickey Mouse mini-stuffed-toy-thing (Which is attached to the zip on my laptop's bag)
Three Disney T-Shirts (two Disneyland Paris and a Tigger one)
A few Disneyland Paris tickets, park maps and bags (yes, I keep the bags ;))

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.. If you want to continue the theme into "How disneyfied is your computer", the following are screenshots of my machines, two of which are currently to a Cars theme...

First of all, Minnie - the newest machine I have, which is a Mac Mini: Click here

Next, Simba - the oldest machine, but still the easiest to use/most reliable: Click here

And Stitch - the games machine which is also the least reliable machine: Click here

Normally, my laptop would have some Disney themed picture on the backdrop, but at the moment it hasn't, since it's being used for Windows Vista testing and thus hasn't got anything useful on it.

acp. :mickey:

PS, If it counts, I drew that mickey avatar, too (:mickey:) It was originally for another (non-Disney) forum I frequent on, but subsonic uses it too, which is cool :D And the avatar in my profile (on the left of my posts) is a caricature of me drawn by someone at the place I used to work.

Here's my home office. This is as much of it as I could get in one picture. You can't see the Mickey phone or Lamp in this one
