41 weeks old on 1/28/2013

My sister and her husband should be having their little girl on 2/11...so DS will have a little cousin in a few weeks.

Yes...his shirt says "Little Monkey"

He watches YouTube videos of WDW with me...a lot of them walkthrough videos or attraction videos...so he's getting good exposure already.

Child-proofing works...because it causes them to avoid those areas.

The problem is that all the work and money spent is worthless once those areas are ignored. At the same time...kids will find all of the places that are not child-proofed. Even places/things you would never think of...they find. It's a gift that children have...that obviously goes away in adulthood.

Actually, I think it goes away in teenager-hood. Case in point, I ask my daughter - pick one - to get something off my desk. My desk is maybe 5 square feet. I get a "I don't see it" I don't know how many times.

Or how about, with the refrigerator door open, "Where's the mayonaise?" And it's RIGHT THERE ON THE TOP SHELF.

My favorite one: "Will you two please pick up this mess?" "What mess?"

Can't believe he is almost a year old! It's amazing how time has gone by so quickly!

I can't wait to meet this little cutie someday! And his parents of course.

DW and I are trying to see if we can swing an adult trip this coming November/December...then maybe take DS in 2014 when he is a little older...and before he turns 3. We will hopefully have DW's parents with us when we take DS...to help with costs and to give us more hands to help out. If we do go twice in a 12 month time period...we'll have to look at the advantages of getting AP's...or at least one AP for the discounts. Going on an adult trip in November/December will hopefully work for us since we could combine DW's birthday (11/26), my birthday (12/27), and Christmas presents all into this trip. I know already that leaving DS for 3-5 days is not going to be easy...even if he would be staying with family. DW has said, though, that if she had to be away from DS for a few days, WDW is one of the only places she could do it. I guess that makes here a WDW Nut?
