Also, like those cats, Amy, my cat doesn't tolerate very well the "temporary staff" when her regular, full-time staff is away.

I have only one cat and it does take up some time; the Mousekecouple have two, and trust me, it probably takes more than twice the time than if you had one!

I call her my "puppy cat" because it's like having a puppy just in a cat's body. I don't consider myself her "father" and she's not my "child" like other pet owners; she thinks of herself as an equal member of the family. She is also a very smart cat; she understands english far better than any of us understands "meow".Amy wrote:All that attention for only one cat?! I can attest that these two cats can take up quite a bit of our time. As I am typing one is wrapped around my legt and the other is trying to get on the computer. Audrey our largest cat loves to yowl. Not MEOW but YOWL until she gets some attention! UGGGGGG.. Anyway...I am patiently waiting for my box. I am getting excited. We have had a hard time getting back in the groove since our vacation. It's like we don't want to admit that we are back home and someone has to cook, clean and do the dishes.......
After looking at all of his pictures, I think I am going to have to clean out the garage this weekend. It's a mess.

Re: Creative Disney Crafting
Would cleaning up Mousekedude's "Man Zone" possibly interfere in his creative process?
And my cat hasn't YOWLed at me yet, but it has at my parents I'm told. We had a pregnant stray who we fed who used to YOWL for food. We could hear her inside the house as she was on the front doorstep. And she yowled at 7 AM, 9 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. Then again, she was having a litter of four so she was eating for plenty!

Re: Creative Disney Crafting
We interrupt this program to bring you a special news bulletin!
Mousekedude has been spotted actually working on his shadowbox project! Eyewitnesses tell us that at about 10:00 a.m. Central Time, he was observed sanding the wood filler he had applied in the last episode, after which he applied a coat of primer:

Inside sources whisper that this coat of primer is merely a "first coat" that is intended to seal the wood grain and reveal any additional imperfections in the wood. They say that there will no doubt be some spackling and an additional coat of primer needed, followed by some fine-detail sanding, before the shadowbox will be ready for painting.
That's all for now.... additional bulletins will be forthcoming as events develop.
We now return you to our regularly-scheduled mayhem....

Primer, not paint, as I am assured Mousekedude would tell you they're not the same thing. He's got some fine-tuning adjustments to possibly do first - but painting is definitely around the corner - maybe next special bulletin update? Can't confirm it, it's just rumors at this time. Please stay tuned for any further late breaking developments!

Re: Creative Disney Crafting
Between new pics of the continuing work and all the talk of kitties makes me too excited to work on this fact sheet I'm designing! I too spend a lot of time scratching, petting, and rubbing the bellies of Andy and Sancho (brothers). I wish I could take them to Disney with me! I remember when Disney had the Kal Kan Kennel Klub (anyone old enough to remember that?). We always drove to Disney from Ohio and would often take our dog Pal. I always thought she was THE luckiest dog cause she got to stay on Disney property!
Step out to your left please. When the car stops, step out to your left.

Re: Creative Disney Crafting
According to many wood-working enthusiasts, primer and paint are two unique stages in the process, like the rehearsel (primer) and the live performance (paint) of a play perhaps. We are currently waiting word from Mouseoholic for her reaction to this latest development, but so far no statement has yet been made to the press at this time. There have been no interviews yet with Mousekedude about he feels about the progress and what is to come next. We'll continue to monitor the situation for further developments...

I made this Agrabah shirt last year for our March trip. I hand painted it. It took several days of work, but it looked great in the end. I got all kinds of weird comments throughout the week of people trying to guess what it was, but the one person who mattered recognized it instantly.

Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!
