Re: The Return of Subsonic Fantasy Football
I was just about to ask that, more out of curiosity than anything else. It sounds like a lot of the activity relies on what happens in reality so if there are no games then there is no data to use.

I'm guessing the strike will be over soon. Someone pointed out to me that players do not get paid if they do not pay. And wouldn't the team owners also not get any revenue if there are no games?

Re: The Return of Subsonic Fantasy Football
Apparently not, at least I think it's the team owners, since they can go 2 years with no games played and still have revenue since sponsors/adveritisers were already under contract and don't normally get lock out clauses, and (going from NHL lock out) people who have suites or season tickets will still pay or face loss of their seats.
The owners will make up the loss to them in non-monetary ways. It took like 3 years to use up most of the duck dollars on suite food. My parents still have like $200 for the gift shop and another 20-30 for catering left.

Re: The Return of Subsonic Fantasy Football
Let's just wait ad see what comes within the next week. From what I understand the only remaining issue is how to handle the rookie contracts of today once they would be up in 2015. That should get sorted out very soon.
As for the league. We still need one more team. Currently we are at an odd number and come draft day this will be a problem. Yahoo will not allow a league with an odd number of teams to draft. Secondly, I have not received any suggestions on things to change.

Re: The Return of Subsonic Fantasy Football
Are there any holdouts on managers from last year? If so, we can get after them to sign up. If not, maybe I could convince F1gment to join. She actually knows a little more about football since she watched it with my Dad for many years during Sunday, or was it Monday? ah heck, it was probably both nights, plus WednesdaysLen90 wrote:Let's just wait ad see what comes within the next week. Re: The Return of Subsonic Fantasy Football
We actually have two managers from last year that have not renewed their teams. The TTA Tigers (Brian) and The Tiki Birds (Derek). We did get a rookie in so that is why there is one slot left. I have always said that the league is on a first come basis in terms of availability. Of course those who returned got yahoo invites before I posted the info on here. If F1gment is interested she is more than welcome to join.

I wonder if Derek is too busy working at the World to have a team? I wonder why Brian hasn't decided to try again...he did well the first time.Len90 wrote:We actually have two managers from last year that have not renewed their teams. No need to be worried or scared. It's a really fun league since all of the managers are posters from here.figmentaholic wrote:Haha, I am the rookie, so be nice to me
