He's 38 weeks old today...should be taking his picture later this afternoon...decked out in Alabama gear...of course
I knew it was safe to stop sterilizing Meghan's stuff when she came toddling down the hall with half a pill bug falling down her chin in a dribble of drool.

Ick!

Tell me about it! I did the "Eew! Eew!" dance for about 20 minutes.
I don't remember really conscientiously sterilizing Ellie's stuff. Dishwasher was about it. I figured with her older sister being in preschool (i.e. Contagion City) sterilization was kind of like closing the door after the cows get out. Why do the second and subsequent children get less special treatment? I just know I didn't worry nearly as much.

I'm the youngest of 6. I don't think there was anything I could that would have caught my mom off guard.

I'm just now realizing I forgot to post a picture from this past Monday.
It was DS's first BCS Championship Game...which he fell asleep prior to kickoff. When he woke up we were national champions. Sorry to the Notre Dame fans here.

Oh my gosh I can so picture this happening with one of my kids but probably freaking out if it happened to my first child and not even noticing it with the latter

just kidding

It is true how you are so different with your first kid and then subsequent ones you just don't worry about that stuff so much. I would think I would be more supportive since I was the youngest of my siblings. Like my oldest daughter noticed today that her baby book was filled in more than the younger ones.... oops

Oh trust me, kids notice things like the baby book. I have the hospital bracelet in mine and I think one or two vaccination dates. Both of my brothers have every single line filled in

I don't blame my Mom though, I blame my brothers

They obviously were sucking up too much time being 6 and 8 when I was a baby so that F1gment couldn't document my first steps, and cute little baby teeth appearing

Hehe...DW is from Atlanta...so I'm sure DS will end up with some Falcons/Braves apparel the older he gets.

I just went back and looked at his early pictures - 1-4 weeks - and it seems to me that just his torso is the same length as his whole body at that time! Babies grow so fast! No wonder they sleep a lot.
Still a cutie patootie.

When my brother started eating ladybugs, my mom knew she didn't have to worry so much.
