Thanks, bro. :D
But as far as taking orders... I don't know if I'll be making these available to the public. It's "private collection" kinda stuff..... 8-)
You could make smaller ones (about half the size), sell it on Ebay, use the profits to fund your Disney Trip Fund... 8-) :mickey:

It's ok... I don't think Wizzard will say anything to anyone, so M-dude should be safe if he wants to sell them. :D

Mousekedude Builds a Shadowbox... Episode Six: "It's comin' together...!"

Howdy-howdy, Mousecrafting enthusiasts! This is a big day in the life of the project! Today we put all the major pieces together to form the shadowbox! Let's get started....

In the last episode, we created the ears by laminating the wood strips into the molds... so today we start off by taking the cured ear pieces out of the molds:

Next, we get a feel for how the whole thing will go together by laying out the major pieces prior to the actual cutting and fitting process:

Now we start the actual process of cutting, fitting, and assembling the major pieces:

And, voila! We have the fully-assembled body of the shadowbox!

The next phase will involve a whole lot of wood filler and sanding to get it ready for painting, after which we will start to put together the cork-board/black-velvet insert. Stay tuned, Mousecrafting fans!

That is truly awesome bud. I'm glad my DW isn't on this site or she'd be giving me the "now why can't YOU do that?" glare! hahaha... Great job!

Thanks, y'all. I'm really trying to do a good job... I want my sweetie to be proud of me... she's worth it! :D

By the way, I noticed that the pictures seem to be blurry. Sorry about that, I don't know what's wrong. I guess I need to check my camera..

Thank you all so much... (bowing humbly...). It's y'all's support and encouragement that really gets me excited about this project.

By the way, today I did a little sanding on it, but I'm not sure when the next chance will come for me to do some serious work. Mouseoholic wants me to redo the tile grout in her bathroom before the trip...
So anyway, the next episode will come when it comes, I guess.

But you'll want to stay tuned to this thread for an exciting surprise that has to do with the Mayhem Marauder meet-up. We're brewing up something special for the attendees.... 8-)

Do you plan to stain it, or do you plan to paint it?
