Thanks, Amy! And sorry the taco shot is a little blurry. Shaking the hot-sauce bottle made me shake the camera too. Oops.Amy wrote:Nice job! You are definitely looking slender-erI like the t-shirt too...think I must have missed out on buying one of those beauties

Next time I'll get a better one.
I got the shirt when we first joined D23. Not sure if it's still available or not, guess you can look it up and see.
If my schedule allows, I should have another fun-filled episode ready to go press by next week!

Excellent update M-dude. I love how you have your own reserved spot up front at the taco place.
It looks like this episode would have been the coolest one for me to do. I was a glue freak in school. Played in it, ate quite a bit of it, sniffed... well, inhaled way too many fumes.
It's looking good sir. Can't wait for the rest.

I do hope the eating of glue was confined to the very early elementary paste eating days

Yeah, it's pretty awesome the way that parking spot has worked out for me. They might as well put my name on it....

We did two Disney pumpkins this year, thought I'd share them and see if anyone else did any Disney carving too!

Nice job, cousin!
By the way, guys and gals, I'm hoping to have another episode of the shadowbox saga ready to go this week... if all goes well.

Mousekedude Builds a Shadowbox.... Episode 5: "Let There Be Ears!"
Greetings, Mousecrafters! Our hero starts the day at... you guessed it: his favorite breakfast hangout, slurping down scrambled eggs with cheese. Since he's still on a diet, there's no tortillas involved.
After breakfast, I run a few errands, stop at my doctor's office (been sick, need some follow-up stuff done...), and then head back to my garage to get started. Sometime between the last episode and this one, I had taken the other two pieces of the head out of the molds and bought some more material to form up the sides of the ears. So, first thing on the agenda is to cut the large sheet of wood veneer in half to make it more manageable on the table saw, and then to rip strips out of the two halves:

Next, it's time to laminate the strips together and form them up in the molds to create the ears:

Well, there you have it, folks. As you can see, the ears are now in the molds, and all the other pieces are ready to go:

In the next episode, I'll start assembling all the side pieces to the backer in order to create the box itself. Can't wait!
