Now I just need Steven Tyler to scream every time anyone walks in.

Go for it!
I'd like to see this magical mystical LED tape too!

Thanks Mousekedude for the laminating expose'. But it still seems like the wood will break when bending it... must be some kind of magic! I really can't wait to see more pictures and eventually the finished product. On a side note I was interested in the talk about LED tape, I just looked it up on the web... how totally cool is that?? I want some! So, where can it be bought for the best price?? Anyways, good Monday to all (I'm not a big fan of Monday's) so I am glad I have Subsonic to keep me smiling!

LED tape does look cool. I'm gonna have to do some more research. I have a whole bunch of stuff I could use this on!

Just think of really skinny wood and then maybe you can picture bending it ~ better yet, leave it to the professionals!

I didn't think of looking the LED tape up online...here I gooooooo!
EDIT: Ok, I must shield this discovery from my Mom, F1gment. She will want to buy these and stick them on her car

I googled it.... SOLD! That's exactly what I'm looking for to use as the lighting in my shadowbox! I have a bunch of other ideas for projects where it'll come in handy too! Thanks for introducing it to us, Wizzard!

Since I have people interested now...
Here's a brand (or Company's) I use
http://www.brilldea.com/
Here is a project that shows them in action.
http://www.instructables.com/id/Control ... -or-offic/
I've used them before in a small scale thing and they work really well. The next project is ambient lights, but when I use a higher speed program it becomes either the launch tunnel or the End of Line club.

Mousekedude Builds a Shadowbox.... Episode 4
Greetings, Mousecrafting fans! Today is the day I start to form up the sides of the shadowbox by means of laminating thin strips of veneer together! Let's get started....
As usual, I start my day at my favorite breakfast hangout, the "Tejas (pronounced Tay-hoss) Taco House." I promised Amy a couple pictures of this cute little hole-in-the-wall place and its food, so.....
Mmmmmmm....!!! Yummy stuff! *slurp*
Next it's off to... yeah, you guessed it: the Man Zone Toy Store!!!!
Gotta pick out just the right glue... hmmmm.... decisions, decisions.... ah, this looks like some good stuff.
I kinda think I could use a couple more good bar-clamps, but these are just too expensive.... so I opt to stick with what I have and improvise.
(hey, I'm McGyver, right....? LOL)
As I'm leaving the store, I try to get a "helpful employee" to pose for a picture with me, but she must have thought I was trying to hit on her or something... she was very skeptical... so I said "Fine, Chica, don't flatter yourself... (well, I thought it anyway...) and left.
They love me at this place... *cough, cough*....
Back at my cave... er, I mean my workshop.... I proceed to set up all my materials, start laminating the pieces with the wood glue, and forming them into the molds I had made in the last episode.
So there you have it, Mousecrafting fans! The main part of the head is formed up! I didn't have the time or materials to do the ears today, so that will have to wait until the next episode. Until then, keep on crafting!!!

WOW! That's looking great Mousekedude!

Nice shirt too! I'm loving these little episodes, and I'm sure Mouseoholic is getting excited seeing her dream Mickey box becoming a reality!
(you're looking thinner too, I might add)

Did you decide on if you're going to add the lights or not?

Thanks, everyone! Mouseoholic got home from out of town and was excited to see the progress.
I'm glad the weight loss so far is noticeable. I'm still working on it, though......
Yeah, Wizzard, I'm definitely going to do the lights. That's always been part of the plan, but now it's going to be even better because I can use the LED tape! Woo-hoo!
By the way, I wondered if anyone would comment on the shirt. If you'll notice, I've worn some kind of Mickey or Disney shirt in every episode. That was always part of the plan.

Of course you've worn a Disney shirt. I guess I would have said something if you hadn't! Now I think the "PIRATE" bandana is cool!!! It looks like you're staying ready for Mayhem!!

I had just assumed he had strict criteria for... stuff.
