It was a rumor I heard a few days ago. I'm not kidding. Don't remember where I read it but it's still just a rumor.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”
― Dr. Seuss

That would be more of a freak show than a musical.NaCler wrote:Awww... come on. Who wouldn't want to see Cap'n Jack and Cap'n Barbosa soft-shoeing across the stage singing "That's why the rum is always gone..." ??? Oh wait... shhhh, Disney execs again.mindflipper wrote:Okay, stop it, MadEye, you're starting to frighten the small children.![]()

Actually, we had a pirate musical years ago with Kevin Kline and Angela Lansbury called "Pirates of Penzance." It died at the box office. They re-did again and called it the "Pirate Movie" starring Christopher Atkins and Kristy McNichol. It died at the box office too. So does someone somehow really believe they can succeed in making a pirate musical movie where Hollywood has failed twice already? The answer is obvious: NO WAY. No moron would try this idea again...

Sadly, I loved the Pirate Movie when I was growing up... shameful, I know...mindflipper wrote:Actually, we had a pirate musical years ago with Kevin Kline and Angela Lansbury called "Pirates of Penzance."
