Thank you Roy for fighting for all of us all of these years. You knew what your dad and uncle wanted and you saw it through until your last breath. It is our hope and prayer that someone will step up and have the courage to keep Walt's vision alive for generations to come. Rest in peace.

This is a sweet memorial. I'm so glad that he was dedicated to the Disney ideals. He really brought about the second coming of Disney animation. I hate to think where Disney would be without him. He will be missed.Roy was a Disney Legend in every sense of the word, and his contributions to this great company have been profound and will always be remembered. For the next week we will be flying the Disney flag at half mast here at the Studio and at our parks, and I know you join me in sending thoughts and prayers to Roy’s wife, Leslie, his four children, and his 16 grandchildren. For those who wish to pay their respects, the family has requested that donations be made in Roy’s name to the California International Sailing Association (CISA) to benefit youth sailing.

The Extinct Attractions Club has put together 2 packages in memory of Roy E. Disney. It might be nice to have these...a nice memory of an amazing man!

We had just gotten off of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad when we got the news. Word was apparently circulating through the parks already, just hours after his passing. We observed a moment of silence, and wondered whether the parks would announce anything like that too. Then we realized that it would have been logistically impossible to do with the crowds being what they were. Nice to see that at least they flew the flags at half staff.

We were there when the flags were at half staff. I asked a cast member what had happened. His reply was, "some guy named Roy died." "Roy Disney" I asked. He said, "yes I think so." Right away I went to confrim at guest relations. Talk about a sad face. The guy looked like he was a close relative when he told me of Roy's passing.
