Why Would Anyone Request THAT?!?!

Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

I dont like the 60 minute movie loop of the sci-fi dine in. It's just not the same listening to it comapred to seeing it.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

There are some I don't understand, but it is interesting to see what people pick. I am also finding that I am paying attention in ways i never would if I were physically there.

Same here but that little kid can get annoying after the first minute or so.

1980, 2000, 2005 and 2008 all had plenty of magic. Hoping for a bit more in 2010.

That sound is just disturbing anyway.
I agree; disturbing is a good name for that track. I don't mind it because it's good at evoking that particular part of the ride - makes you feel like you're there - but taken out of context it's extra creepy...

I might sometimes request a short 'sound effect' track just because that sound effect has particular significance to me (usually that I associate it with some specific memory - a lot of the short TTA/peoplemover tracks, for instance). There are also a number of the short tracks that I will turn off - the BTM goats and the main street dentist come to mind. Man alive, that dentist track with the drilling makes my skin crawl! Gotta love the Frito Kid though! Deeeelicious Fritos!

There are longer tracks that I don't understand the appeal of either (the sci-fi diner track that's been mentioned, as well as the village haus), but I tend to figure people request them for the same reason I request things other people might not like; different taste, different memories. But that's why Subsonic gave us the scheduled and background streams. :D

I find myself turning the station when people request anything Pixar related. I am a fan of the films but I dont really dig the music.

first time i went to sci-fi the service was so slow we were going through the loop for a second time when our food arrived. ugh i can't stand it. of course last year i had to eat there cause my friend is a serial movie fan....ugh. i can honestly say i will not eat there again....the food was good though! and if i hear the track play...i will have to switch. sorry. hmmm...

I would not eat there on my Vacation
I would not listen to it on Subsonic's Radio Station
I will not put Sci-Fi on my ADR
I think the expierience is rather Sub-Par

What bugs me is when I am "channel surfing." If something is on one of the tracks I don't really want to hear, if I want to switch channels, I have to hear that main street opening. If I don't like what's on that one, i have to hear it again when I click another channel. And when I switch back to the other to see if that is over, I have to hear it again! Yes, it is very cool, but do I have to hear it every time I click on a track? The Soarin' track doesn't do that, and I like that! At least shorten it a bit or something!

May I suggest you put that in "requests"?? Subsonic needs to hear the opinions of his listeners. We got the commercials back (for alittle while) and I had a way around the intro but I can't do it anymore! grrr
