Who all thinks there should be a 4th Pirates movie?

Only if Swann and Turner are out of it. Sparrow and Barbossa are still fresh characters with a great repertoire. I didn't have a problem with the sequels, and I think the fourth one would still be plenty good.

If the writers can't come up with a much better plot than they did in POTC #2 and #3 then I say NO MORE. POTC #1 was great, but each sequel got progressively more weird.

I beg of them no more in this series. The first one was great, loved everything about it. The 2nd and 3rd movies fell short of the standard of the 1st. Making a 4th would really run it in the ground. And the rumor of Tim Burton doing it really scares me.

Not a huge sequel guy so I'm not all that fired up about a fourth POTC. The first one was great, second not bad, third, I could have done without.

I couldn't have said it better myself. In general, the only movie sequels I can think of that really did themselves justice were The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi after the "original" Star Wars (A New Hope). Even the "prequels" had a hard go of it.

Of what I've heard, they ARE doing it. I don't think it's a good idea though, for they're going to kill the movies! It ended really well. Keep it that way!

my guess is they will wait for years to pass...like Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit film (which is said to be a two part film! releasing in 2011) let the memory fade...let the merchandise slowly fizzle..then bring it back. cha-ching!

That just isn't right. Even if its for financial reasons, I agree with Croaker that time should pass before they make another one.

I thought #1 was fantastic, #2 was tolerable and last one was just wierd and too long! I'd have to agree with cccmouse, if they can't come up with a better story line, they should just let it go!!!

I wouldn't count on them making another one, nor do I really want them too. I think if sagas get too drawn out they become.... tiresome.... Finish on a good note

after the third movie i was sick of pirates and jack sparrow got on my nerves. If there is a forth one, i doubt i will be going to see it.

I don't think I would like to see another one. Like the Star Wars episodes, I was really ready for them to end! I liked them all but enough was enough, for me at least. I guess they could do a pirates of when Jack was younger and how he became Jack Sparrow the pirate he is today

I think that they should probably do one last film to make up for the third film, the first film was the best, the second was good and the third I felt really lacked something - I love pirates of the caribbean and I felt that the third film was a disappointment and if they made a fourth it would kinda make up for this.

My thought when i saw the title of the first film was that they would have the option to make as many movies as they wanted and rather than follow the characters...follow the time. The first film could have stayed solo. They could then have made a separate movie that has nothing to do with the first movie and call it something like, Pirates of the Caribbean: Red Beards Run. whole new cast whole new story....it could have been like a series but in movies. eventually crossing the past stories together bring back the memorable characters etc. instead this is what we got....

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Memories of the Ride. Great Cast. True awe inspiring acting and character with Johnny Depp. Action, Adventure and an overall Great Movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Picks up where we left off, wow another round! um why don't people talk to each other? simple problems could be solved if they just communicated...no wait...attempted to communicate. Everyone that was a bad guy is now a good guy, hey is this a movie or a comic book? oh the Clliche' how long is this movie? What? What? its just a filler piece? Crap i'm p***, I would not see the next one if i didn't feel so left hanging. ugh! End Scence 1 minute after Jack dies....everyone gathers in the Swamp..."oh we miss jack...oh we need jack...oh wait look its the guy jack killed...and he want jack back too...WHAT? HELLO? did i miss something? your going to end this no plot story with a nonsense ending...hmm i guess it fits!

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Wits End...oops i mean At Worlds End. ok...now i'm interested just to see where they are going to take us. Begining is starting off really cool. Rough Tough and full of action..I actually like this. oops...the character that Johnny Depp created and we all love is now over used, abused and used up like a bad Pee Wee Herman line (if your too young to know who Pee Wee Herman is insert Dave Chappelle). ugh 5 minutes of Jack Sparrow outtakes...oh wait these are not outtakes they are apart of this movie....oh save me. oh please please make the rest of this movie good....Pirate code and law....followed better than the English Trading company...oh save me i paid full price for this. full scale battle, oh wait its only one ship. um...did we lose the Calypso story line somewhere? 20 minutes of silly sword play. guess we can't get enough of this. Tada, simple end, we make Will the new Davy Jones. we kill the lead bad guy...um if there is a Pirates 4 will he come back as a good guy?

oh sorry for the rambling....if they make a 4th Pirates i have a title they can use.
