We're taking our church young adults group to see Narnia on Friday. And my husband and I are catching the midnight showing of Indy next week to kick off his birthday on the 22nd. :D

I would like to see it again, but that will probably be on DVD (don't want to pay another $10).

It wasn't really like the book, but I fully expected that. It would be a difficult task turning that book into a good film.

My gripe about the film was that it was just overly-dramatic. Every time they walked into a room or a new area there was this dramatic pause as the camera would show all of them staring around. The 87 battle scenes were a bit much, too.

But, it was alright.

Well, I was thinking about the film after we left, did I like it...umm, yah I did, was it as good as the 1st one? umm No I don't think so. It started out really slow I thought. It just didn't flow as good to me as the 1st one. I agree with SWHorn, I wouldn't mind seeing it again, but I will wait until it's on DVD or better yet on the Disney Channel some day. The battle scenes seem to be a big focus of the movie, and not as much into the characters themselves. And the comment by Peter at the end that he and his older sister will not be returning to Narnia that they had learned all they could from that place, I thought ok that means they won't be in the other sequels if they make them. I never read the books so I can base my opinions solely on the movie.

Anyway, yes it was a good movie, not GREAT but good. I wouldn't see it again in the theater.

Well, that does it. We'll wait until its out on DVD. Indie, however, is another story. :D

That's actually great news. This is probably the weakest book in the series. I was afraid that this would be a complete flop and then Disney wouldn't bother making the rest. As longs as it did farily well, I'm sure Disney will go ahead and make the others, a couple of which are simply stunning storytelling and will be beautiful on the screen (chapter nine of the magician's nephew comes to mind).

It was worth going to see. Nothing beats a huge screen to see action/adventure/fantasy movies on and something about popcorn at the theater just can't be duplicated no matter how hard Orville Redenbauker tries!

I was actually quite impressed by this movie. I thought the Pevensies were a continuation of themselves from the first film and that their age didn't alter their characters to an extreme. You felt like they grew up but their personalities still felt familiar. I want to see it in the theater again and I will pay the price for admission gladly. When I walked out of the theater I thought. "Im so glad Disney got it's hands on the world of Narnia."

I'm glad to see that disney is having such sucess with so many of its live action films recently. Disney makes so many good films when they choose classic books to do the writing for them.

I saw the movie around the time it came out and I thought it was decent. I think I prefer the first movie more than this one. Caspian's accent was the only thing that bothered me. That was about the only thing I didn't care much for. However, I did love that Eddie Izzard voiced the mouse with the sword. That made me smile hearing his voice even though it took me a while to figure it out that it was his voice.

Reepicheep was fantastic! I can't wait for the Dawn Treader.

As many others said, this was just ok. The scenery, costumes, and acting were excellent, but the battle scenes were just too dark for my tastes.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.
