Quintessential Disney tune

Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

Mine would have to be "You Can Fly" or "When You Wish Upon A Star".

I would definitely say "When You Wish Upon A Star," and "Once Upon A Dream."

When you wish upon a star... Used to watch sunday night disney on CBC at my grandmothers house every week when I was a kid. It was the song that started off every show before eisner came on to introduce the movie

All of them bring a smile to us...but the one song that seems to be our Disney theme song these days is "You've got a friend in me"... :)

I see your watching Eisner host the show and raise you watching Walt host the show. 8-)

(Okay, I watched the show in re-run. But still!)

When You Wish Upon A Star! Makes me smile everytime!!

I sure wish they would bring back Wonderful World of Disney! I loved watching that show, and Walt brought his own special magic to it.

not my personal favorite but i think "when you wish upon a star" pretty much sums up the magic of disney better than any other disney song out there

Hi again. I know I'm being redundant here but, "When You Wish Upon A Star"
is the one that really speaks to the whole Disney experience.

On the personal side; "Baroque Hoedown" from MSEP, is the one that jumps into
my head whenever I'm thinking about the parks :) .

Me too. Nothing is more quintessentially Disneyland than this. I even have it as my ringtone (along with a bunch of other Disney stuff like the Pirates Banjo, the skeleton warnings and HM :))

i would have to say its a small world because even though it may be a annoying song. its a song that everybody knows. then theres the pirates ride as well as the haunted mansion because of the same reason. :D

Wow let me see...
A Whole New World
One Little Spark
When you Wish Upon a Star
Small World
And Zip-a-dee-do-dah

Then there are the parade tracks... SpectroMagic and Share a Dream.

I agree completely! Baroque Hoedown has to be my personal "ultra-Disney" song. "Hakuna Matata" and "A Dream is a Wish" follow closely behind.

Definately "When you wish upon a Star". What I can't figure out for some reason is how it became so renowned around Disney. Pinochio was not Disney's "biggest" film, but that song really stuck around :). Not complaining, just curious how that happened.
