Remember when little kids were Princesses and Princes? The girls are still Princesses, but the boys are now Jedis(in training). It just seems more appropriate to call them that now.

I see more Pirates than I do Jedis'(in Training). During the Halloween season they are all over the place, but again in December they were still out and about. I'm not saying they aren't jedis' too but I think it is proportionally smaller.

Last year it seemed Jedis(in training) were all over the place...at least at MGM. I just remember addressing the younger boys as "young Jedi" more often than not. That's not even including Jedi training season.

But yeah, there's more pirates now. Argh.

I can't vote because I think Star Wars is partly Disney now, but not because of Star Tours. I need a third option.

Star Wars has a place in the parks, and if Disney chooses to use the characters it works. They sell the merchandise, they play the music at the enterence to the Magic Kingdom (wow that's crazy) and there are a variety of other connections about.

It's not because of Star Tours, it's because Disney chooses (right or wrong) for Star Wars to be Disney.

Yes I totally agree with you, Star Wars is the original trilogy.

Plus I think Lucas was very valid in choosing Disney, because he needed someone who would put in the same quality as he does with his movies.
Wait, how is Star Wars the original? It's behind by about 30 years.

LOTR the "trilogy?" only heard that on Clerks 2... no kid I know calls it that, only Star Wars, don't worry guys, the true "Trilogy" will always be known as Star Wars. LOTR will die off after the Hobbit.

LOTR will die off? Based on what? I'm more a Star Wars fan than, well, almost anything but Lord of the Rings was popular LONG before Star Wars.

When I was younger I refered to Star Wars as the trilogy and people thought I was talking about Lord of the Rings.

LOTR dying off is a silly idea.

I believe he means that the MOVIE hype will die down...

Well, I doubt that. They're revolutionary, acclaimed and popular movies that faithfully pleased an already established gigantic cult and also created the four best DVDs ever. There's plenty of reason for them to last the same as Star Wars.

like I said, the HYPE of the movies. I never said the movies themselves would die. I personally love the LOTR trilogy as well as the Star Wars. They're both on the same level for me.

SW is slightly ahead for me personally, but they're close. The difference is I loved the books before the LOTR movies came out.

. . . I just decided there should be a Moria ride.

I they keep the star wars theme in MGM and don't make the whole park be centered around it, then I think they will be ok sharing space.

I really dont like the idea of putting non-diney rides in the themparks. I wouldn't take star tours out as it has been there so long and is a good ride, but it does seem a little odd. I notice it most in Paris where there is a whole starwars shop.
There are enough good disney films to base rides on without resorting to other films. If you really want to put in other rilms just extend the Great Movie Ride in MGM!

Wait, so there's a problem with Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Muppet Vision and Tower of Terror?

What I meant was the HYPE of the movies. The LOTR has been around much longer, but there already is a lack of talk about the LOTR movies than say Star Wars.

Not in any circle I'm a part of.
