Arr, mateys. I even had to wear my Pirates of the Carribean shirt to work for casual Friday. I'd love to see it break the record, but no matter what I can't wait to see it myself!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I hope it beats the Spidey movie, which I did not see. I will be seeing Pirates 2 though, hopefully tomorrow afternoon. I tend to hit the matinees, gotta save the money somehow. :D

I just saw Pirates. It had some pretty cool action scenes and comedy, much like the first one. It seemed really long, and there were some parts that just seemed pointless and boring. I found Davy Jones to be rather lacking, and I just couldn't really get used to his appearance. I probably invisioned something more menacing and scarier. But the special effects were well done as well as the music.

And what's with the lame name of the beast?

OT: yay teaser trailer for TRANSFORMERS!

I voted it will break the record. It's off to a good start. Friday it did break the record for opening day previously held by Star Wars Episode III. I'm going with my family and inlaws tomorrow just to help things along!

it's still an estimate, Ravenscroft, but BOMojo takes estimates very seriously... it will come in in that ballpark, thus DESTROYING the webcrawler's record! Go Captain Jack!!

well, we can add my $6.50 into the mix. I just got back from seeing it. the show I went to was sold out last night, so I guess it's a good thing I pre-ordered these online last week....

and that ending was great. I can't wait until PotC3... :D

By the way, I got a large Coke from the Regal Theater I went to. On the cup was a pull-off ticket thing which says you could enter to win a trip for 4 (5 total winners) AND get $3.00 off the soundtrack. Just go to www.cokeandpirates.com for details and to enter. You can enter once per day, and apparently the contest ends on 8/11/06.

Am i the only one who wasn't all that impressed with the movie. It seemed very lacking in plot, and I thought the ending was very weak. I know it's only the second movie in a trilogy, but usually something that happens in the second movie will be summed up. We know that Chow-yun Fat is going to be the "bad guy" in the next movie, what is going to happen to Davey Jones? If he was going to stay around for multiple movies, i would have thought his character would have been explored a bit more.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

Thank you js3901 for the contest link. Just took my family to see POTC- Dead Man's Chest. I loved the movie. I got totaly lost in it. 2-1/2 hours went by real fast. You must stay till after the credits. It only takes another 5 minutes. I never liked getting up and rushing out with every one. What's the rush?
