Your wife is so lucky Rich! MY hubby is SOOOOOOOO not into Disney. Even after going for our HONEYMOON! I don't know what I would do if I couldn't go with my folks or Sis. He doesn't mind that I go w/o him though. But think of how much fun it would be if he loved it as much as I did!?!?!!?!? :::sigh::: alas.. I just wish he would catch the Disney "bug". He likes the movies though. (Especially Pirates of the Caribbean) Wierd.
"Hey, Look at that guy in the Goofy Mask!" "That's not a mask!" "Oh... Sorry Lady!"
My wife never went as a kid if you can believe that! So her first trip was to the Grand Floridian on our honeymoon and the Disney Magic infused in her. Our kids have now been just about every year for the past 14 years - she's not as big of fan as I am still, but we have an amazing time on every trip and we've been a couple of times just the two of us since the kids were born - thank God for Grandparents who watch (and spoil) the babies!

my wife had never been to WDW or Disneyland as a child. a few years ago i surprised her by suggesting we take a trip to WDW, just the 2 of us, without the 4 kids. she really got into it. i planned the basics of the trip, but she really dug into planning the things she wanted to see. a year later she planned a trip to WDW with us, our kids, her mom, and her brother & his wife. she was so into planning that trip & making it perfect, it was cool to watch. she was suddenly the expert on WDW. both trips were great & it was cool to be part of her first Disney experiences.

My wife has always been a fan of the movies, but doesn't yet fully understand that going to the parks is almost like a religous experience. It was a part of my growing up. When we used to live in Boca when I was a kid, we'd get the three season passes and go on a family trip almost once a month. Now being in Texas, and older, and having to pay for the trips myself, I don't get there nearly as much. In fact I've only been twice with my wife. And she does have a blast, but again, not a full blown whack-a-loon like myself. I'm hoping that the more we go and eventually when we have kids and take them there she'll turn to the dark side
I've been telling her ever sine we were there in March for a day (you just can't do it in a day) That we're going back for at least a week next year for the 35th.

Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

If you Google an image of Baloo my DW is one of the pictures. She is a mod over at the DIS and has over 8,000 post. I'm a Disney freak and she makes me look like I only have a casual interest.
It works out great , all I have to do is suggest
a trip and she'll start planning it. It also helps that some trips can be real cheep, we have a life long friend that owns a home in the area!!
and is a tech at EPCOT!!

i guess the simple answer is no! heh my boyfriend has been to disney, but i dont know how long ago it was... he likes it, but he doesnt LOVE it. But he definately embraces my disney fanaticism. Everytime we find ourselves on 5th ave he's like "shall we go to the world of disney store?" lol and i tell him all the time we should go to Disney World together and he agrees. I dont know if he'll ever get as into it as i am, but he does enjoy it and i guess thats good enough!

Unfortunitly for me my wife likes Disney, but nearly as much as myself. She doesn't like to go as often as I do. But then again, she has to put up with so much from me... I guess I can give her this one thing... LOL!

She's not AS big a freak as I am, but she's getting there. Once we had kids and began visiting DL more often, she started seeing it all mre from my viewpoint. I tell her, "It could be so much worse, at least I'm not drinking and driving fast cars! Well, at least not ALL of the time!"! I prefer ENTHUSIAST to freak for some reason. She prefers FANATIC!

Hhhmm. Let's see. My wife and I went to WDW together eight years in a row, there is something Disney-related in every room in the house, her favorite pair of earrings are Mickey ears and hardly a year goes by that we don't get each other some Disney present for both birthday and Christmas.
Yep, I'd say she's had as much of the Kool-Aid as I have!

Luckily for me, my boyfriend is just as crazy about Disney as I am. Its a great feeling to be able to experience something wonderful like this with the one you love.
It makes it all the more special I think having your partner share in all those happy moments too, and there's no arguments as to how many Disney-related products we have inside our home either, weeeeeeeee!!!! 8)

My boyfriend doesn't love Disney like I do, but he tolerates my obsession. He will listen to me talk about it (and sometimes even finds it interesting) and watch vacation planning videos and ride videos with me. And he wants to go to Disney World with me someday when we can afford it. My cousin just moved to Tampa so that would take accommodations out of the budget, so maybe it'll be doable soon!
