It's like Club 33 lite. I don't know if it's really worth the time and money, to be honest.

This is something I just read elsewhere and went "Hey ... that's right..."

I registered on that website for the 'be the first to know' thing, and I never got the email. It's not in my spam folder either. Just never got it. Apparently I'm not the only one (based on the other site I was lookin' at). Did everyone here who registered get their email?

I guess they don't want my kidneys after all. Their loss. 8-)

I was checking my mail all day and never got anything from them either. I checked from my phone while I was at work, and also when I got home. the only mail I DID get was the Disney Insider newsletter in which the main article was about the D23 club.

And to think that I got 4 separate e-mails about D23 between yesterday and today.......That isn't right. I got them from Disney Shopping, Disney Insider, Mice chat, and a Disney Gallery specific mailing group.

I am glad that I am not the only one who was hesitant about it. Reading the information, I kept thinking, "Well, this is kind of cool. It's another community, like Subsonic, where people can understand my Disney addiction."

I was actually pretty excited about it until I read the price--$75, really? Per Year?
Um, no thanks. This is something they shoud offer for free--well, the website for free, anyway. I mean, this is where Disney fans can talk to other fans and get excited about going to Disney. It is sort of a marketing site, but the fans get to pay.

As with JS, the only notice I got was from the Disney Insider email I get regularly.

I'm kind of baffled as to why so many of us didn't get 'the' email. If I hadn't heard of at least a few people getting one, I'd conclude they were just harvesting emails to sell. This whole thing is dropping the ball on an epic scale. :|

No special email announcement here either. Big let down. Not worth the money.

Ok, so did anyone go for it??? I'm curious as to the so called 'special surprise'.

My dad got sucked into buying the magazine at the store, and I will agree that it has lots of beautiful pictures - haven't had time to read the articles yet.

An $850 pen????
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Not I. I went to Barnes & Noble to look at the magazine to see if it was worth $16, and discovered they were all individually sealed in plastic.

Actually, not only am I not joining D23, I've canceled the plans I had to go to WDW in October. I think we'll go back again, eventually (and we're planning to go to Tokyo in October now, instead, so DisneySea will be on the menu), but I'm tired of being in an abusive relationship with the Walt Disney Company. I won't say we're broken up yet, but we're definitely on a break. :?

Mmhmm. I'll be kind of bummed for a while, but Disney'll be out sleeping with someone else's money right away.

I have to agree about the magazine. It is very slick...it was disappointing..very similar to when they discontinued the disney magazine you recieved when you have a park pass and now i get a family fun magazine !!!!!

I am not shelling out either....
