NEITHER! I like the Space Ranger nerfball blasting bumper cars at Disney Quest. Best. Interactive ride. EVER! My brother and I used to go on that thing once every other week for hours and hours. We were INSANE. The first car we hit would hardly stop before we had a chance to nail everyone else. It looked like a flashbook from the age of disco, what with all the spinning all.

Ahhh... Good times. Good times.

I've only been to Astro Blasters. I really enjoyed it though. Next year, I want to try Space Ranger Spin. Wer'e hoping to go to WDW next spring '10.

so as far as big point targets go, i know of two. on the robot on the left side of the first big room, the back of the robots left hand is worth 10000 (i think). on zurg, the target at the very bottom in the center is worth ALOT of points, not sure how many, but if you want to get 999999, this is the way to go. you have to be fast though, because the way the gun is positioned on the buggy makes it hard to aim that low on zurg.

You are pretty much spot on. I maxed out at 999,999 in the first room once and got 480,000 or so on the second controller before the ride was over. The next time I go down I want to max out both sides..... With Astro Blasters folks from the DL5 meet know that I got 1.1 or 1.2mil on the one time we rode it. I think the highest on that trip without the group I got 1.4. Not my best stuff but average.

I've only been on Astro Blasters and I didn't care that much for it. It's fun and all but I prefer Toy Story Mania more.

Now that is a thread of a different nature. I don't have as much experience with TSM, but I hope to get more play time in over the next year.

I risked it. Astro Blasters has a short wait at most times but I don't know, I could never get into it as much. I guess it's because I keep forgetting to turn the car all over the place to get the other targets.

Next time I'm out there I can give pointers.......that means I sit in the Omni-mover behind you and poke you with a stick and say "THAT ONE" and point with the stick.

But seriously if anyone want to know about the ride I can walk you through it, I think I have pictures and video around here somewhere. And I can point out the targets.

HAHA I can imagine you with a walking stick and I'm like "...what is that for?" "To assist you in getting a score higher than 100,000+!"

disneydreamer12, I love your avatar!!! Very cool!

Anyway, I went with Buzz Lightyear in WDW, I don't have anything else to compare it to. I've only been to WDW.

I think it would be cool if the guns weren't stuck to the ride! I swear, sometimes my gun doesn't work! B/c I'll go from like 200 points to 112,000 or some crazy #. I think TSM is more accurate!

It could be possible that you hit one of the high point targets that are implanted throughout the ride.

I voted for this being I have no comparison. However, I do prefer TSM to this since I can pull a string faster than hitting the button.

Just wait until you get to DL for the Astro Blasters. The guns are loose and you can point in any direction.

Yes one of the problems with the ride at WDW MK is ease or lack of ease of movement. I'm not a high scorer, but my DW rocks!

Thanks for the hints. We'll be in WDW in a few weeks. I'll have to set my 'sights' on the volcano area.
