Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

I just hope that Mary Poppins avoids this regrettable fate.
though Disney has been known to produce Direct-To-DVD "cheapquils", the new administration has stated that they are stopping (or at least slowing down considerably) that sort of thing.
That, and if there WERE a Mary Poppins sequel made in D-T-D style, I believe the real Disney fans would have something to say (like a MASSIVE protest outside of the Disney offices and studios in CA, all the theme parks (as no doubt, new characters would surface), and every Disney-owned piece of property in the World).

I think you are 100% right that there would be some serious revolting from a lot of Disney fans if they were to do it.
So far there does seem to be a slowing of the D-T-D, and I think we are all better for it, but I still want to see the traditional animation come back full force. That is how Disney was started, it seems just so wrong that it isn't there any more.

No, I don't think they should do a sequel. My sister drove me nuts with the original movie when we were kids. I don't want to see anymore.

No! No! No! That is a good word for those movies, "cheapquils".
