Hidden Mickey

Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

I enjoy looking for hidden mickeys, I found a few in Soarin' and Tower of Terror. But its really sad that I even look for hidden mickeys at parks not related to Disney or even just in general, it's just fun and surprising when you find one.

Yes I love looking for hidden mickeys. I usually look through the website and try to memorize all the ones I want to look for, but what usually happens is I remember to look for the ones on the first ride and then I forget after that because I am so excited to be in Disneyland.

As for my favorite hidden mickey it would have to be the one on C-3P0 in Star Tours at DLR. Speaking of which, does anyone consider the woman's hairdo on the preload video of Star Tours to be a hidden mickey, I've seen a lot of debate about it on the Hidden Mickey website.

actually i never knew they had hidden mickeys all the times i have been there, till probably this year when my brother told me. But we do have a computer game called Walt Disney World Explorer or something like that and you can search for the hidden mickeys on there too (they arent in the same place that you would find them in the park)

:mickey: The Hidden Mickey craze has got so big as it's fun!

My kids love to spot them, not just in Disney but in Disney Stores, clouds, food, you name it they find him! It's a fun thing to do when waiting in a queue for a ride or whatever, we have the book and are credited with some finds! yay!

Steve Barrett who wrote the Hidden Mickey books is a nice guy who actually takes time out to reply to your email and your accompanying photo. Live and let live if Star Wars Fans can have a whole weekend dedicated to them, why shouldn't we have a Hidden Mickey book or website? :mickey3:

Has anyone ever caught the hidden Mickey on Test Track. It's in the picture to the right of the car. I believe it's like these rubber tubes. It's really clever...

Yes and the rope in the picture forms another hidden hidden mickey.

When I was there I kept looking for hidden mickey's wherever I went. After going on TGMR I asked the guide where the hidden minnie was and he gladly grabbed a flashlight and pointed it out to me. I found the two in Soarin, one in Philarmagic (pay attention to the instruments on the right side of the stage), a lot in test track, and A LOT in my resort. I found most of them to be hidden within the carpeting both obvious and well hidden.

I like looking for hidden Mickeys. Last time we went to WDW we brought the book with us and all of the CM's were helping us spot the tough ones. Every time we spotted one with a CM looking on, they would give us a different pin like the "Magical Gatherings" pin or the "1st Time" pin so I now have every pin except the "Happy Anniversary" pin. LOL.

I always catch them ... about ten seconds after my daughter goes, "Ooh! Ooh! Lookit! Lookit!"

It's quite wonderful to "stumble" upon a Hidden Mickey. That is the basic concept of them, they are hidden because they are supposed to be found. Having a book that tells you where they are takes away from some of the fun of it.

Some of my faves:
The apparition in the area to the right of the opera singers on HM (you have to look behind you to see it). - I just found that one this year.

In the specks of dots in the queue area for Philharmagic a couple of hidden Mickey's are formed.

The viking wearing the mouse ears in the mural on the loading dock at Maelstrom.

I also like the hidden Tinker Bell at the exit of BTMRR.

How about your faves?

:mickey:
Are we there yet? When can we go back?

I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

I always search for Hidden Mickeys as much as possible. I remember standing in the exit for Peter Pan since we had a wheelchair at the time and one of the CM's told me of which ones to look for while inside the ride. It was exciting to look for them and my best friend and I spotted them.

We just got back from the world! My wife and I decided to have a contest to see who could spot the most Hidden Mickeys. While I did come out slightly ahead, the conclusion was that we are not very good at it, lol! Over the course of 5 days, we barely found 20 between us.

One hidden mickey that will be GONE FOREVER on Saturday will be in the backdrop of Pocahonta and her Forest Friends show. My friend and I spotted it on Saturday when we went to go say farewell to that show.
