I love them all, but "When You Wish Upon A Star" is the quintessential Disney song. It sums up everything Walt was about.

When you wish upon a star just seems like the Disney Theme song (if that makes any sense)...

A Whole New World - we had it for our first dance at our wedding, plus it puts my daughter to sleep when I sing it... beautiful.

Lots of good choices, I picked Circle of Life because it's a powerful song and I like the sudden stop at the end.

I love A Whole New World (the version from the movie and not the version they play during the credits). A close second would be Kiss The Girl.

I can't believe how few votes "Part of Your World" got. I was expecting it to be one of the top vote-getters!

Classic Disney Songs... ahh it warms my heart to listen to these ( and actually I am now on my other computer :P ) but I'd have to say the one that tugs at the heart strings you know and the one that gets me every time is A Whole New World from Aladdin. I personally think that's cause it has sentimental value to me ( it was playing on my first date w/ my gf :P ) but yeah I just love the song overall and it's really a wonderful peice. All of Disney's Classic music is just phenomenal... now for once if we could just get Disney to stop making Pixar films and go back to basic animation I would flip!! That's right folks I will take good old 1970's and 80's animations that Disney had, over any CG'd film anyday... so please Disney revert... or find a way to use technology to make the handdrawn work easier! * end rant* lol sorry folks... went on a bit of a tangent there :P

I agree 100%! The recent movies like Finding Nemo and Cars are okay but don't have any good music with them. In my opinion, it's been over 10 years since Disney made a movie with good songs.

pixar movies are good movies and lots of fun but no disney tradition : no good music, not as magical....
hopefully disney did a good job with enchanted, i just wish they had put 1 or 2 more songs into it......it only has like 3 or 4 songs (and the vilain has no song)

I voted for "Part of Your World" and it's so funny because I'm a guy and people would ask why is that your favorite song? I dont know why it is but it's just so well-written and sung, it just has the extra feeling I get during most disney songs but this one just makes me smile more than normal.

I love hearing the live version in Voyage of the Little Mermaid at DHS. And I sometimes critique to see if this mermaid sung it well enough or not haha.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I chose when you wish upon a star.
It screams Disney to me and makes me smile everytime I listen to it!

There are so very many classic Disney songs not included on your list. Some of my favorites are So This is Love, Baby Mine, Stay Awake, Bella Notte. Disney has always had great music.
