Funny thing.

I just got back from my 12th time to Disneyland and me and my brother both were saying that we're going to die alone because we don't think we'll ever find anyone that has as much of a love and respect for Disney as we do. You've given us hope.

I have friends who said that for years about many different things and they have all found someone. So keep looking, you'll find someone. My brother and I are in the same boat as you right now, but hopefully that will change soon.

The only thing my brother and I have said about the whole GF thing is that if one of us has one and the other doesn't don't bring her to DL, I don't want to make my brother nor myself the third wheel. Just an idea we had because we know how it is being the third wheel and we don't want to do that to eachother, especially in Disney.

It's funny that you say that because my brother brought his girlfriend to Disneyland with us and I was indeed the third wheel. And you're right, it blew.

My husband thinks I'm the biggest Disney loser out there, but as soon as it comes time to plan our trips, HE'S the junkie! From where to stay, where to eat, when to do what--he's all over our itinerary. Hmm...sure, he'll never admit he's got it so bad, but I'm onto him!

We really do. I am huge on the music, and have a massive Disney Videotape and DVD collection My wife doesn't vacation anywhere else, but a Disney park now, (was just cheaper for me to buy into DVC for that reason) Yeah, we're addicted

That is hilarious!!!

When I met my husband, he wasn't too keen on Disney, after he visited with my family and I in 2005, it was all over! I've created a monster!!! We're always trying to figure out when we can go back and how long we can stay!!!

It took me several years to convince my husband that we should go to Disneyland. He finally caved in 2005 and we took the kids for their first trip to Disneyland. Now we are finally both on the same page about Disney. Since that first trip we have made 4 more trips and are planning yet another return for this summer!

yes...my husband is definitely as into disney as i am.

when i first met my hubby, he had only been to dl a couple of times and to epcot once when he was a kid. he really didn't remember anything about the trips (i'm sure going with his parents/sister, who really aren't into disney at all, didn't help). when we met, i was moderately into disney stuff (especially lilo and stitch!) and had been to wdw at least 6 times, and dl once....then we took a trip together the first summer we were together, and our love of disney grew like nuts. it's been obsession for both of us ever since;) lol

now we're dvc members and annual passholders and go 3 times a year. we also collect a ton of wdw memorabilia and other disney stuff. we're theming each room of our house after something disney (our bedroom is the polynesian, living room the nightmare before Christmas, dining room after tony's town square, etc.)

Hubby and I are Disney fanatics! Visit "the world" 3 times a year. <3

I grew up on Disney; lived in Tampa since '76 when I was 5. But, had made many trips from up north prior to that. My Dad was a nut, and it rubbed off on me bad. My wife, not so much. Took her for her first trip in 2004. She fell in love with it. She couldn't get enough of the Flower festival at Epcot. We live in Japan now, and we make annual trips to Tokyo Disney just to keep of with her shopping addiction she's acquired at the parks. Some nights I just say "Splash Mountain" and she melts in my arms. So, yea, I'm a freak and she's not too far behind. :D

My story is a little unusual. I had been to MK once when I was very young. I had been to Epcot once in high school. I remembered both trips fondly, but really had no desire to go back to Disney World as an adult. At least, not until I had kids and took them for a one-day trip to MK like my parents did with me.

Then I met my wife. She had never been to WDW at all. And she was a huge Mickey Mouse fan. We couldn't decide where to go for our honeymoon, so I half-jokingly suggested we should go to WDW so she could bask in all the Mickey stuff. We couldn't think of a better idea so I booked a trip to WDW.

I was never a Disney fan. I liked a lot of the movies. But that was about it. As a kid, I never thought Mickey and the gang was funny. I would watch them, because they were cartoons. But I prefered Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo and the Superfriends. Basically, I had no expectations of enjoying WDW any more than any other vacation destination. If I had my choice, we'd have gone to Universal Studios instead. But, I wanted my wife, the ultimate Mickey fan, to get to experience WDW.

Well, we had a great time. Both of us enjoyed it and resolved that one day we would come back and bring our kids. But a few months later, I found myself really wanting to go back. Slowly it built into what my wife now calls an "obsession".

She gets burned out somewhat by my interest in WDW. She likes it, but doesn't love it. She'll go because she likes to go on vacation and our daughter and I love it. But she would prefer a relaxing trip to the beach instead.

So, the guy who never really liked Mickey Mouse became a die-hard WDW fan and the girl who loved Mickey from childhood tolerates it.

Go figure.

Divorced now, but my ex was not as big of a fan as me. We were separated when we had our last "family" trip to WDW and he commented on it probably being his last trip to WDW. I felt so sad for him, but he had always just gone along for the ride anyway.

I would have to say she is much bigger fan than I am.

I've been going to Disney off and on since 1980. But I didn't go for almost 13-14 years between 1990 and 2004.

Definitely not. Which is not to say that he doesn't like Disney. He wasn't a fan before we met but since then has gradually worked up to the point that he really loves going to WDW and (at least occasionally) initiates trips himself.

He doesn't, however, get worked into a lather ranting about monsters in Tomorrowland, or giddy at the prospect of staying in the Treehouse Villas. So he's not as much of a freak as me, but then that's probably a good thing.
