I just had to let you know that this post got an audible chuckle from me at work. Usually I tune out when the Pal Mickey's come across, but that one is a ZINGer!

I like the one about what he has after dinner at the Haunted Mansion (or something), because the answer is "I Scream" (ice cream), but what i like is the worried little follow up of "No kiddin, I really do"...

Those little follow-ups are what give the Pal Mickey jokes their charm; the jokes themselves are pretty corny, but the little bits of Mickey's personality, whether it's a giggle or a comment, are what make them fun to hear.

Uggh. I forget what Mickey's joke was (might have been about Pinnochio, might not), but he was singing the follow up "he's got no strings to hold him up, he's got no strings at all".
Anybody know that one? I didn't get a chance to catch the name of the track when it played.

It's about why Pinnochio can't play guitar. I think it's just:
"Why can't Pinnochio play the guitar?"
"Because he doesn't have any strings. He's got no strings, to play guitar, he's got no strings at all." Then the lil Mickey chuckle.
I love Mickey's little jokes. I think my favorites are the series about Goofy getting hit by lightning ("What happened when Goofy got struck by lightning? Why, he was shocked!", and then the two subsequent ones about him being shocked again and really shocked, with Mickey saying at the end of the third "Poor Goofy, he just can't get a break."). But I love most of 'em. So much wonderful cheese.

My favorite is the Captain Hook one. I think it goes something like:
'Why is Captain Hook's ship always flying?'
'Because it's going to Neverland.'
Something cheesy like that. But it makes me grin and murmur, 'duh'.
"A pirate in irons be full o' guile.
And the blackest 'art wears the broadest smile."
Oh, and "Welcome Home."

Hehehe. I told that one to my husband the other day after hearing it on here overnight. There was much eye-rolling. Same with "Which knight invented the round table?" "Circumference!" I use that one whenever possible (much to the dismay of people around me, I'm sure).

That Circumference joke is dangerous. Now, I shall unleash it on everyone I know as well!
