Wow, this is great news! How exciting to hear Disney is really starting to focus back to it's roots. The future is looking up!

Yes I agree, those stupid films are a shame to the original ones :evil:
Like Cinderella 2, Bambi 2, The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2, etc....etc...

They use the base of the original films and give it a stupid story... :evil:
I'm really glad she's fired.


Now Disney can make good films again :D

It's going to be an up hill battle for him. You can't wean some people off this stuff.
Friendships are a blessing. Don't waste it on people who can't appreciate it.

Well thats good they are changing policy on their movie releases. It happens a lot though. They have have a few successful sequels, but then they just run the ideas into the ground. Oddly enough people in her position sometimes never change even though they can see the profit margin is going down. It's odd you think she would have changed strategies long before now, but they don't Just like Eisner.

Walt always said, "You can't beat pigs with pigs!" After the success of "The Three Little Pigs," theater owners were clamoring for more pigs. But, Walt had already moved on to something new. If you keep doing over what you have already done, you will not grow.

HOORAY!!! Im glad they got new people running Disney now. My powers of suggestion didn't work on the old crew, but seem to be working on the new people much better.
Next up (concentrates hard) BRING BACK HORIZONS!!

Sleeping Beauty Castle was named while the movie Sleeping Beauty was in production when DL opened in 1955. Actually sounds like Uncle Walt knew the value of a good cross promotion as well as anyone. The problem wasn't the tie-ins or sequels it was that the stories were just plain lame. Produce good stories in any medium and it just doesn't matter if there is a cross-promotion or tie in.
