Tower of Terror MOVIE

Post by karenj2 » Aug Fri 10, 2007 8:42 am

Did you know that there was a ToT movie made? My 6yo nephew and I were talking about our upcoming trip, and he told me about the movie, and I, for once, hadn't heard about it!

I have no idea who's in it, or if it's any good, but it's out there.

Yep it was a TV movie.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0131620/

I've never seen it but I've heard about it before.

It was a little cheezy but I enjoyed it. Kirsten Dunst was young in that, now look at her career, she went from ToT to being Spidey's girlfriend :D

Yea, its cute. Not great, but no worse than Haunted Mansion and targeted to a better audience (TV).

I know they sell the DVD at DCA Tower of Terror as well, if you're intersted. I agree with everyone here that it's nothing to write home about, but it could make a good souvenir for the family to bring back memories of the ToT.

We'd been all hyped when that was first on TV, and then soooo disappointed when we actually saw it. :P

I remember seeing it when I was little and really enjoying it. I don't think I realized how cheezy it was until I became older.

Yeah I saw it with my daughter (also 12) for the first time a few weeks ago after seeing our library had a copy. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again, but it was ok. For a TV movie had a pretty good twist as to who the "villan" was. I think I would really have liked it if it was more like the original Twlight Zone series.

We have this on video (that is telling you how old it is) and my kids used to LOVE it when they were way younger. Me? Not so much as the acting is terrible. The storyline had good potential, but overall - blah.

I remember this one. They actually sell it in the TOT gift shop. It's not a bad movie. Just a little cheezy

I actually think that its better than the Disney channel movies they churn out now. I know that I'm definitely in the minority on that one though based on the TV ratings.
