The story made sense, I thought. It was just that some plot points seemed to be important, but really weren't.

I really didn't have a problem following the movie, but I could see how some people would. I told my mother not to bother taking my dad to see it because there is no way she would enjoy the trip. He wouldn't have a clue what was going on.

There were a couple of things I missed, but I'll catch them the next time or two that I see the film.

I think the second time was better, because I didn't have such high expectations? I don't mean to tarnish it. But I was expecting a lot in the 3rd movie. After watching it the first time, the second just seemed to flow better. Maybe I just watched it and relaxed, so I enjoyed it more.

Maybe once it comes out on blu-ray i'll give it another shot and see if it flows better. I just don't think i'm going to see it in the theater again. Movies in Houston are expensive.

Are movies in Houston more expensive than elsewhere? Being naive, I just figured they were the same everywhere.

They probably are the same everywhere, but I just haven't realized how expensive they've gotten. In the last month my wife and i have gone to see spiderman, pirates, and Shrek. After spending almost $20 each time for mid afternoon shows w/o anything from the food stand, I guess it hit me that movies are getting ridiculously expensive. No wonder every new movie is breaking records for most money made opening weekend.

It really depends on where you go, since I could pay as little as $6.50 to as much as $20 for seeing a movie nearby where I live.

It's Pirates, no matter how bad it was, or how much it didn't meet my expectations, it's the third movie based on a ride in disneyland, how many Magic Mountain rides got turned into movies? I just can't wait until the Jungle Cruise movie is out. Should be good. :pluto:

Exactly. And yet, they can't figure out why the movie industry isn't what it used to be, why despite the fact that they continue to jack up the prices and make the box office records go crazy, people are still not going to the movies like they used to. Maybe, just maybe, if they ever made anything worth watching we'd even pay the ridiculous $10 a ticket to see it.

Sorry guys, I thought the movie was garbage. It was way too confusing for me to follow. The only good part was at the end and I thought the sword fights while talking got too goofy for me. 2 stars.

i'd love to see a movie where someone spews dialogue and the other person keeps saying "what"? "sorry didn't hear you" and is serious about not hearing them.

So I finally got around to seeing this movie and was very impressed! I didn't have huge expectations after II, but thought this was excellent. Much more light hearted and never a dull moment. The return of a lot of minor characters from the first two really made the film.

Now that I've seen it, the time has come to discuss all the spoilers!

Seriously, is there anyone out there who hasn't seen it and doesn't want the discussion to begin?

Yeah, I'm ready. I'll wait to discuss to see if there's a couple more that are ready too.

Since there are no objections, I guess I'll start.

For those who haven't been paying attention... BEWARE OF SPOILERS AHEAD!

Personally, I loved all the Pirates ride references, with Barbosa's comment before they went over the end of the world waterfall and everything as they went over the falls. Oh, and parts Barbosa's battle script were almost identical to his in the updated pirates. Don't forget that dog with the keys!

Anything I missed and should look for next time?
