This is such good news. I have been holding out hope for years after 2D was dismantled that someone would come to their senses and realize that 2D is just as valuable a style as CG/3D. I also expected the public to get a little burned out on the novelty of CG once a string of crappy CG animated films started coming out. Witness the parade of last year's band wagon disasters like "Happily N Ever After". Yikes.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I knew they could do it! How exciting to hear that Disney is returning to hand drawn animation. And there might be a Pixar Toy Story 3? Fantastic - I can't wait to see the movies coming out of the Disney Studios under new management!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Yay for the return of hand-drawn animation!!! This is great news indeed. I am sure if Walt were alive, he would have embraced new technologies such as Computer Animation, but I don't think he would have abandoned the old skills for its sake.

Ofcourse computers play a large part in 2d "Hand Drawn" animation with the CAPS.

Oh yeah and Toy Story 3? I thought Lasseter didn't like endless sequels. Is it still "Buzz gets recalled" storyline?

Lasseter really knows what he's doing. Really, bottom line philosophy that made Disney what it is and should always adhere to, but hasn't been, is "It's quality not quantity". Lasseter knows this. It's great he also has his hands in making atractions as well.
