Disneyland rip-off?!

Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

I think the fact they point out that there was pretty much only them in the park sums the place up. No idea how they manage to stay open at all..

I don't see what the problem is here. This park looks quite lovely! But there's something familiar about it that I can't quite put my finger on...

I'd love to ride a "skyway" through a "matterhorn" again one day. 8)

That is one wierd place. Exactly what would happen if normal people were in charge of the parks...

That was like a train wreck, sad, but so fascinating, I could not look away.

Hello!
You don't have to go all the way to Japan to see a pretty good rip-off of Walt Disney. Just go to Adventureland in Iowa (Des Moines, I believe) and you will see a pretty good copy of the Disneyland entrance and Main Street! People always want to copy the best!

Regards,
Delray

eh, the park map doesn't show too much and I can't find any good pictures. But, it doesn't seem a whole lot like Nara Dreamland or Disneyland. about the only thing that looks similar (from what I can see on the map) is Main Street. In Nara Dreamland, the entire park looks the same, castle included.

That place sure is creepy. I feel sorry for anyone who has gone there or will ever go to that park, especially after having been to the real Disneyland.

Built that way?

Post by mikesatregis » May Sun 07, 2006 12:00 pm

Does anyone know if the park was originally built that way or was it remodeled in an attempt to get new visitors?

Just wondering who was really first with the whole idea....

It was built that way. Read the LaughingPlace.com article for the scoop. The link is up-thread.

Thats scary. Everything looks nice far away, but then when you get close up  ....its gross and empty. I would like to go there for like an hour and try not to get really scared by the little kids on the ride who end up being the only people you see for the rest of the day at the park.
