Anyone know if Fantasia is in the works to be released on Blu-ray? THAT would be nice to see.

I know there is a list of upcoming releases floating around here somehwere I remember that the Toy Story movies are being made into 3D (for theatrical release) but wonder if Blu-ray releases are coming too.

BUT Fantasia would be my first choice to release in HD. Have to mop up the water from the buckets being dumped in my family room.

Yeah, I'm in the Bluray boat. I picked one up from dell.com on the last Black Friday for $180. I love it! The movies all look amazing, and it upconverts my old DVDs to make them look nicer on my HD.

Sleeping Beauty in particular looks astounding. All the Pixar movies look perfect.

Highly recommended for anyone with a 1080p HDTV.

8-)

Looking forward to seeing many more old Disney titles in HD!

I currently own these Disney Blu-Rays:

Ratatouille
WALL-E
Pirates 3
Invincible
The Prestige (ok, it's Touchstone)

Of these, the Pixar ones are outstanding and are crystal clear. Pirates is also pretty good, especially Davy Jones' tentacles.

It doesn't seem worth it to start my whole collection over again, I think I'll wait for the next big technological jump in home movies.

Why is Disney spacing their Blu-Ray releases out so much? 2 a year? That's crazy.

I got a 60' 1080p hdtv couple months ago to replace my 56' 1080i that went up but thank god I had a replace plan from best buy :D Than after that my dvd player went up. So I bought a blu ray player for $100 cuz movies commin out in blu ray. I still have my dvds but I buy a blu ray for special occasion or when they r really on sale or when I get a coupon from best buy. Other than that I still buy dvds cuz they r alot cheaper :ccat:
