2015 Running / Sub Meet-up?

I thought I'd start a new thread so we quit hijacking WWDRH's trip report about his awesome, amazing, fantastic marathon trip. :)

I know NaCler mentioned it kind of in passing, probably half-serious, but the more I think about this, the more I'm like YEAH! Let's do this!

So, how many of you are interested (and think it's feasible) in meeting at WDW for the 2015 marathon weekend / week, and running / walking / progressing via bipedal locomotion for one or more of the events? I know some have already discussed doing the Goofy and the Dopey, and IMHO those names are a perfect fit. :D :D :D Amy and I have already volunteered to be the CheerLeaders Of Subsonicers (CLOSers) for the event.

DW and I may look into this. We are hoping to go to WDW next year...so a return trip with DS and the in-laws may be possible for Jan 2015.

It would also give us an excuse to buy APs. ;)

I'll be more than happy to set this up. The 5k would be a great meet-up for us since I know many of you are already making plans to run in at least one event. We could all WALK together and get pics of Norwegian Daisy together as a group. ;)

Hubby and I are decidedly IN. Anyone know the approximate dates? Guessing the girls won't be coming along, because of school and swimming. Meghan will be a sophomore in COLLEGE. Yikes

Sounds like it could be very fun!! Unfortunately right now I'm a fat $%% and can barely run a couple blocks without having to stop! :( But the gf is always up for Disney trips so I don't see why it's not something we can't look into!

You can walk with the rest of us runningly-challenged folks :lol: Although you have enough time between now and then to get yourself into true Ironman shape if you are able ;) I don't know if I/We will be able to swing a trip in 2015, but hopefully we can. And I know for sure my body won't be able to run, so I am only in for the 5k walk-as-fast-as-you-can-so-you-can-stop-and-take-pictures-with-all-the-characters-but-mostly-Norwegian-Daisy race if I/We can make it at all :mrgreen:

I want to get in better shape!! Hate that I've let myself go to a huge level! I just love fooooood! Here I am from early last month.

Living sorta close to FL it's not that bad for us to swing a quick trip to Disney. Of course who knows but in 2015 I have a feeling I'll be at least starting planning a wedding and then I'd love to take a trip to Disneyland or even DLP if it's possible! And it would be a ton of fun to meet everyone here!! And yea my gf and I would likely walk.

I had so much fun at the marathon this year. I'll see if there's anyway to convince the wife to let me try doing the Dopey in 2015. You never know. :mickey:
