Actually, it appears he's hoping to run the DL Half...so he'd be running in SoCal in August...much better conditions!

So, I'm looking at how much $$ we'll have to save up for this trip, and decided to price out packages on the WDW website for the 2014 marathon weekend. NOTHING is available! Is it possible that the place is fully booked, as in EVERY SINGLE RESORT? Or is it a glitch in the system?

Probably a glitch in the system as it is near impossible to sell out every room on property, especially this early.

you could probably go through a travel agent to find discounts for the Marathon weekend...I know I have done that before

Yeah... I was just wanting to compare the rate for a moderate resort to renting DVC points in OKW for a studio. Wondered how much different the price is.

From my research...renting DVC is cheaper than a discounted moderate resort...and also cheaper than paying rack rates while getting the free dining plan. You can bet that there will not be free dining in early January though. Of course...it depends on which DVC resort you are renting from. OKW is your best bet for affordability. BWV and BCV are probably all gone by now since they are right there at Epcot.

It is that time of year again in 3 weeks I will be running the race for life 5k.
Just letting you all know as I am not on facebook so this is my only forum. I am also training for a half marathon in September.
Thought I would mix up the training a little last week just to see how I was getting along. I did a 5k on Sunday and then 7 miles on Monday. No problems so I know I can at the very least do the family run and the Minnie just have to keep the training going and then make a decision next year as to what I run in 2015.

Would love to run the 1/2 in 2015, just too far out to plan for that. We've done the 1/2 twice, in '05 and '12. LOVE it! The Donald medal from '12 was very cool, he was in color!
Hopefully we can join!
