Does anyone have any tips for getting into the Jedi Training Academy show at WDW? We have only one day for DHS, and I have one boy who will be heartbroken if he doesn't get to play Jedi....

That looks like a lot of good tips there Wizz. I wonder how many people run over there to sign up without taking their children with them?
Looks like showing up early is your best bet stinoi

I didn't read the list, but I CAN tell you early is your best bet. Get up, get going, and get there. I hope you get in! My nephew participated back in Jan 2010 and had a lot of fun.

I wonder if the DLR version has the "sign up" stuff? I think they might just be wait in an area to get in.

Judging by the hand written and timestamped note, it's not and the reason they aren't is just because of the low number of people that can use it.

Thank you! Now I know that I will have to take the kids with me early and let my elderly parents arrive later. Cross your fingers that we get everybody moving fast enough (very tough with my side of the family....).

Are your kids old enough to understand that the earlier they get there, the better their chances of participating in the Jedi Training Academy will be? If they are, I would use that. If they are too little for that logic, I would suggest an earlier evening the night before so everyone can be rested up.
I totally understand the slower side of the family ~ we have a branch of that sloth tree in our extended family

I wonder if you need to have a small human present to actually get the passes? I would guess so, but I wouldn't know.

It did mention in the tips link that you provided that the "small human" had to be present as the CM would have to ask them a few questions to be sure they could follow directions while in training...

That doesn't even guarantee that the kids will follow directions.

True, but it sounds like if the child can't answer basic questions, or follow a simple direction, they won't even be allowed to sign up...
