Calendar?
I think this is the appropriate place for this topic but if it's not, will one of the moderators kindly relocate this post?
Is it possible to have a calendar of everyone's planned trips? Would that be difficult to put together? I'm not at all savvy in web design or management so I don't know. We have a calendar for work that everyone posts their travel, whether for work or vacation, so we know who's in and who's out. Helps a lot because we're all scattered at offices around the country. Is something like that even do-able?

Re: Calendar?
I'm sure it's quite doable. When I had Sox season tix we had a calendar with the schedule on it that we made a shared document so friends could pick games they wanted. I don't see why that can't be done for something like this.
Re: Calendar?
Yes, please! This would help me with my work schedule so I can see when I need to have regular off days to have time with everyone.

Re: Calendar?
That would be so cool! You can sort of tell by the "I have only ......... days/months till I go again" thread, but it would be more fun to have a calendar to look at

I always need a plant waterer ~ how sweet of you to offer! Could you also whip up some of that yummy food you make and be a dear and leave it in the fridge for my return?! ThanksWizzard419 wrote:Yes... that way I can know when you're all gone so I can break in and... um... water your plants?

Suuuuuure, no problem. Want me to stock the fridge with filet and other expensive meats? Fugu? Truffles? Bon-bons?Wizzard419 wrote:Sure... I'll need money for supplies so just leave your credit cards on the counter...
So...have we figured out if someone is technologically able and willing to put together a calendar? Is that something that would have to be hosted at another site and shared here? Not sure how these things work. I'm sure if you have the almighty cloud that would help. One of my piano families that are die-hard mac users are always trying to get me on their cloud. The last time I sent him an email I asked his cloud to send rain, but it hasn't yet. Not so smart that cloud

Re: Calendar?
Well, if you want it quick and dirty have one of the mods or regulars start a thread and just keep the first post in a running chain of visits organized by date, they can update it to add/remove. That's how our vacation board at work works, though we all just edit the web page.
Re: Calendar?
Perhaps just take this thread, pin it at the top (or sticky it, whatever this forum calls it) and make the first post editable by the mods organised by month.

Re: Calendar?
But if there is an actual calendar app, that would much easier than having the mods need to supervise it all the time...

Probably, but they do love to feel needed, don't they?
