International Flower & Garden Festival

Post by Disneynut » May Wed 11, 2005 5:28 pm

Anyone planning a trip to see the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot this year? We try to go to the festival every year. The gardens and topiary displays are amazing. Lots of things for the kids to see also. :)

I hear it is wonderful, have seen a few photos but would love to see more. Anyone know of a site that covers it and has a good photo selection? Sometime I will get down there to see it - and promptly come home and start working even harder on the garden!

While it will be happening while I am there, that is not the focus of our trip. I do always enjoy the beautiful topiearies and the special merchandise that they have during Flower and Garden.

As far as pictures, you might check here:

There is a section of photos.

So it looks like I will have a chance to see Gary Puckett while I am there if we hit EPCOT at the right time.

The displays for Flower and Garden this year are just beautiful. There is a revolving Tinkerbell just as you get to the World Showcase that is eally special. I don't remember seeing her before, but I could be wrong. The flower beds that line the water areas by Imagination and over by The Odyssey restaurant are really nice this year.

We've been the last two years. We weren't there specifically for it, we were actually there for Star Wars Weekends since my costuming club marched in the parades. The displays are absolutely phenomenal.

I know last year that had this tall topiary with Tink at the very top. She wasn't in front of the World Showcase, she actually was right before you got to Spaceship Earth. She didn't revolve though. I have a picture of it somewhere...I'll have to go look for it.

Here is a pic of Tink from last year.

The Tink this year is more of a life-size. I have a great picture of her in my PhotoPass pictures, but I don't think I can copy that, can just order the prints.

We are hoping to be there for it next year. It's something I've always wanted to see.

We will be there this year. i can't wait. Last year, I went with my Mom and really enjoyed it, but spent a lot of time babysitting her and didn't get a chance to do a lot of stuff. I will be uploading photos live. I have a boatload of them from last year if you'd like to see them.

Mickeymac, I'd love to see some of those photos. I've adore all growing things and always wanted to see the beauty of the flower show. Unfortunately, school has prevented that. I can't wait till I'm done with college and can have a chance to go!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I can't wait, I absolutely loved the Garden show last year! The Lovin Spoonfuls! Now that will be a trip down memory lane. Last year, I got to see The Grass Roots and The Turtles. The flower power concerts are so much fun and bring back my days of grammer school! I can't wait to see the new Tink!

Esmerelda - here are mine from 2005, including Mother's Day brunch shots, further in. Tink is on page 1, twirling in front of the large IF&GF sign. I hope you enjoy!

This will be the fourth year in a row that my mom & I are going down for Flower & Garden. We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge, June 2-12. The big reason for the trip is: Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits) on the 8-11. We saw him in 2003 and were sad that he wasn't back in 2004 or 2005. But now he's back and we're very excited. My mom was a big Herman's Hermits fan when she was a little girl. I'm making us "Noonatic" shirts and everything. :)
