Just wondering if anyone knows of any good fridge swaps for the All-Star Resorts? We took part in one last year but this year it's all booked up for our trip time. There used to be more out there but I can't seem to find any? Any help is appreciated, thanks a ton!!

A fridge swap is where someone buys or donates a small (dorm-sized) fridge to a group and you use it while you are at WDW. Then, when you are leaving, you get it to the next person on the list, and so on.
The value resorts dont have fridges, so its a good (free!) way to have a fridge instead of paying that crazy WDW price.

They are usually managed by one person who maintains a calendar with who gets its next etc. They send out emails or PMs with what to do with the fridge next or where to pick your fridge up from. Most times all days are filled due to popularity.

The downside is when there is a few days that no ones needs it...sometimes it gets lost. I have seen them last a year or so, but something always goes haywire. Fridge gets broken or lost or stolen, etc.
People go to great lengths to make sure they don't, but they never seem to last that long.

To answer the original question to Satchel...I was looking for one a few months ago with no luck. The last few I knew about (on the disboards) had all fizzled out.
If you do find one, please let me know--I was trying to find one for a friend.

good luck!!! :D

Hmmm, thanks for the info H...F1gment requires a fridge for medication so the resort provides one for free for the room. Nice to know there are options out there though...
