What a trip!!! 1/14-1/19 2nd anniversay trip Full Of pix!!!

Post by yodiwan1 » Feb Thu 10, 2011 8:39 pm

Ok, I know I have been back a while now, but writing right after I get back makes me depressed, and I have finally editted my 700+ pics. I am uploading the picks to Photobucket as I type. Honestly, if I wrote everything we did I will be here forver and my wife would kill me. I am going to put up dozens of pics and with each one a little story or description. Feel free to anything you want about the trip or any general Disney question. Talk to everyone soon!! :ccat: :hatter_bounce: :hm_ghost: :goofy_bounce:

Ok, let's se if I remember how to put pics in, lol...
To start off, I wanted to surprise my DWwith something special. I wanted to get a basket for the room, but there was nothing that seemed worth the price Disney ofered. I went to my local Character Wharehosue and picked up a bunch of goodies and shirts I knew my DW would like. My parents have a giftbasket business so I went to them, made my own and shiped it the the hotel, CBR. Here is my wife with the basket! My price, about $50.00. If I bought everything at WDW about $200.00.Image

Smart thinking on the gift basket ~ much nicer to have things in the basket you know she would want...and save money at the same time :D

Once checked in, we went to Epcot. It was very empty, and we did just about everything in one day!

Nice photos yodiwan :D It is nice seeing the Caribbean Beach resort as we haven't stayed there for many, many years...
Where is this photo taken in EPCOT? Is it in the Living with the land boat ride?

I see some flash photography in SE ~ tsk, tsk, tsk ;) But that is a great photo of Jobs in the garage. I never could get that one with as dark as it was in there
Nice photo of SE at night too :D

I agree with Amy as I really like the Jobs pic, with the random Frisbee thrown in. Was that to remind him that he needed to be outside playing and not on his computer all day? haha... Also, can you give us a review of Il Mulino? I don't know anyone who has eaten there, so I'd like to know your opinion.

Thanks for posting the great pictures. We have a family tradition that everytime we do a Disney cruise, we stay at the CBR the night before so seeing your pictures of the CBR brings back good memories.

amy, yes, that pic is from Living with the land. Nacler, Il Mulino was fantastic! I did feel a bit under dressed coming straight from Epcot, but even though I kept saying that to the wait staff(which was one of the best I have had anywhere) they all reassured me that it was fine. I had a $25 gift certificate that I bought on restaurant.com for only $2! This helped immensely with the bill. Not a cheap place. The food was great. They give you bread and spicy flatbread to start with an antipasto assortment. I started with a tortellini soup, then had..tortellini as my main dish. Both were outrageous. My DW had chicken Diablo. She liked it, but was upset it did not come with pasta. I had let Disney know it we were celebrating our anniversary and that i was diabetic. The surprised us with 2 chocolate mousse deserts that were sugar-free. They were the best sugar-free desserts I had ever had, in fact every sugar-free thing I had during the trip was amazing!

Great illumination photos! The first one should have a caption that reads "EPCOT Explodes! More News At 11!"

The next day we got to AK bright and early, even caught the opening ceremonies! The safari was fantastic, great shots of the Cheetahs, lions, and a baby rhino!
