Hi All,

We are planning our next trip for late August this year, and we should be able to take advantage of the "Kids Stay and Play Free" package. According to some sites I've seen, it's only valid with 4 day Magic Your Way packages, while other sites say it's a 4 day minimum. We are planning to stay for 8 nights/9 days, so I'd really like this package to apply to our whole trip. Anyone know any more information about this?

Your best bet is probably to call them directly at 407WDISNEY, then you'll know for sure.

Well you didn't say you had a travel agent by all means, make them earn their commission!!

It is usually a minimum stay required but it should apply for the whole trip.

Why use a travel agent for a Disney vacation. It's a lot more fun to book it on your own. Also, it is extremely rewarding to see all of your hard work payoff when the vacation goes off without a hitch.

I think Brian845 wants the pay-off without all the hard work; hence, the travel agent. Like Len90, I prefer to bypass a travel agent and do it myself for Disney. We've only used Travel Agents when we travelled to Europe back in 1990's (couldn't do much with Europe on the net back then).

Brian, I did a little research into this for you. The kids stay and play for free is actually just giving you the free base ticket for your length of stay. Kids 17 and under can always stay for free in a room when accompanied by a paying adult. The theme park admission is a free BASE ticket for the length of stay for a kid 17 and under. If you want the water parks or park hopper options, you will have to pay $57.51 for each option that you choose. I didn't see any maximum, but there is a minimum stay of 3 nights required.

In all honesty, I would look into the late summer savings package which can give you 20-40% off your room rate. Price both options out to see which one will be cheaper for you.

If those "special deals" exist. If you read Mousekedude's current trip report, I know they had problems in the rooms arranged by a travel agent for Coronado and and the hotel management. Seems like there was some discrepancy...

Thanks for the research:). Is the late summer savings package the same is value season pricing? I've played with the trip planner online and I seem to get value season pricing on a room at the Wilderness Lodge, but I'd be happy to save 20-40% on top of that. Any idea what the codes are?

I think most travel agents get paid a percentage by Disney (and airlines too?). I don't think we've ever paid for travel agent services directly, at least I've never seen anything itemized as such.

I'll check it out...I also like having someone to call in case something has gone awry, especially in the case of airline tickets.

I would definitely look into that. The deal is listed up on mousesavers.com, but I can't find too much more on it. Aug. is considered Value pricing so I would assume any discount being on top of the value rate. I would call up Disney and see what is going on with this as it says select Disney resorts. The booking code is TSU. Vacation has to be booked by March 27, 2011 and is valid on most dates between Aug. 14 and Oct. 1.
