That would be pretty awesome to go and meet Dave Smith! That man is a wealth of information on all things Disney....it would be so interesting to speak with him

I KNOW!! Dave Smith . . .<starstruck>Amy wrote:That would be pretty awesome to go and meet Dave Smith! That man is a wealth of information on all things Disney....it would be so interesting to speak with him
AND the dinner is at the VIP lounge at Living Seas. How cool would it be to see that?
I am so so so MAD that I can't go. I was adding an alert to my calendar to when the tickets would go on sale when I made the connection of October 16th = Brother's Wedding. A string of profanities followed. Why did D23 have to pick that weekend? I'm still pouting, though I can't do a thing about it.
Now I just have to hold my breath that the Magic and Merriment event won't conflict with anything. I hope they release that date soon. Last minute airfare is never kind.

Could you possibly convince your brother to change the venue of the wedding? Say...to the...Disney wedding pavilion?!?

We've gotten the chance to speak with him a couple of times and he is so approachable and willing to answer any questions...though, we would LOVE to be able to spend a bit more time with him. Amazing stories he has!!!Amy wrote:That would be pretty awesome to go and meet Dave Smith! That man is a wealth of information on all things Disney....it would be so interesting to speak with him
I just read about this event and wish we could go...sounds fabulous!

Let's look at it this way...now he will be retired and free to go out and have coffee and hang out in different places. Maybe we will run into him someday by chance!!MmeLeota wrote:We've gotten the chance to speak with him a couple of times and he is so approachable and willing to answer any questions...though, we would LOVE to be able to spend a bit more time with him. He was our last hope for a Disney wedding . . . but there was no way we were going to attempt to host a wedding for nearly 450 people in WDW. I can't even imagine what the catering costs would be.Amy wrote:Could you possibly convince your brother to change the venue of the wedding? Say...to the...Disney wedding pavilion?!?
Sigh . . . I should just get married again. My husband can pretend we just met at Disney and we decided to run over to the Wedding Pavillion.
BTW, interesting discussion on D23's facebook page currently going on about lack of advance notice. I'm Nicole, so you can see my contributions to said discussion if interested...

I do love the name of the event. Makes it seem like you're taking a wall in the early 1900s or you're in the world of Mary Poppins.

I guess a Disney wedding for 450 might be a little expensiveMoonPet wrote:He was our last hope for a Disney wedding . . . but there was no way we were going to attempt to host a wedding for nearly 450 people in WDW. Nothing to say you and your husband can't renew your vows there!
