Best Steak Restaurant???

Post by NaCler » May Fri 28, 2010 7:42 am

In December I definitely want to book a great Steak dinner one night. Sorry guys, I can't swing it for everyone at the Marauder Meet, but I would if I came across some extra cash... :D

I want to battle it out between the following:

Le Cellier in Canada
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Shula's Steak House
California Grill

Of the above I've only had Shula's. If you've eaten at ANY of them, please give me your review/experience. Or, if you've tried a couple of them let me know which is better in your book. Give me pros and cons of each. Let this be the "Battle Royale" of Steak! If you strongly support anywhere else, go ahead & give me a write-in candidate. Thanks everyone!

I vote for.......Pizza Planet! No really, not a big steak fan so I can't help you out. I've eaten at Shula's before, but in Chicago, not WDW :( And I've never been to any of the other restaurants you are considering...
I am interested to see how the battle turns out like though ~ my Mom enjoys a good slab of Image ~ I prefer to pet them, not eat them Image

Of the restaurants listed, I've only ever eaten at Le Cellier, but I can say that their New York Strip was very good. I'd love to try Yachtsman or Shula's, but my wife isn't a big steak fan.

Actually, I had one of the best steaks I've ever had at home two weeks ago, and it only cost me 10 bucks.

I really liked California Grill but am dying to try Le Cellier for comparison.

Wait, Admiral NaCler, don't forget that Captn's Grille, which is also at the Yacht Club, has very good steaks but for less money. I also hear that the Wave has good steak, although I haven't tried it yet.

Admiral momeja, I left it open for write-in candidates. I haven't ruled anything out, yet. Thanks for the input. $$$ is ALWAYS a deciding factor.

Yup! I say "hello moo's" to the moo-cows in the corner field every morning when I pass by them...I am happy as a clam when they come for the summer :D and sad when they depart in the late fall for their home farm :(

Funny, I say something every time I pass a bunch of cows as well... "Oh, I just ate that cow!" from the movie French Kiss.

Amy, you're gonna confuse those poor animals! They're COWS, not MOOSE!

...I like your greeting though! I always know when we're getting closer to Anaheim when we pass by the moo-cow farms...*sniff, sniff* nothing like the smell of moo-cows in the morning... ;) We usually make some sort of "happy cows come from California" remark...

Ummm, I think I should post something on topic here...we avoid steak places for non-vegetarian reasons, so we have not eaten at any of these restaurants. Sorry I can't help, but I like to see what everyone's opinions are anyway...

We have eaten at both Le Cellier in Canada and the Yachtsman Steakhouse.
Yachtsman Steakhouse is better but more expensive.

Yachtsman is incredible, but as stated above, expensive. Your sides are served family style, which means a very big side that at least 2 people split. A 10oz filet is probably $35, but it is delicious. I had the NY strip, and it was amazing. Great service also. At LeCellier you will get an entire meal for the price of your steak at Yachtsman. Worth a splurge.

hmm I think this might call for a poll...

I have had steak at Le Cellier and Shula's. I have eaten at California Grill, but have yet to try Yachtsman out. I found Shula's to be very good but was a bit costly. From my experience the steak is best at Le Cellier. I found California Grill to have portions that were kind of small and I opted for the chicken when there since it was the most to eat.

I haven't had steak at any of those but I am stuck between California Grill and Yachtsman. Right now I am thinking California Grill for the great view (hopefully during Wishes or the new one if they keep it past the summer).

Hmmm... Since there is no decisive leader, I think we are leaning towards Le Cellier one night and Yachtmans the next. How's that for getting a chance to compare the two? I'll let you know after we book the ADR's. I should be able to do it soon.
