Future Guy and Future Gal on the Tomorrowland Speedway:VIDEO

Post by Future Guy » Jan Sun 31, 2010 7:42 pm

This is kind of a trip report. We met some friends at the Studios yesterday, then chilled at their resort with them while it rained and headed out to the MK after the rain stopped. We did a few fun things (seeing their little 4-year-old meet his hero Buzz Lightyear was a real treat) and I used our crappy little camera to record our trip on the Tomorrowland Speedway (I refer to it as Autopia in the video, but I don't think the WDW version is called that). Future Gal drove, and I rode shotgun and made smart remarks. Sorry for the fairly low quality, but our camera records stuff in QuickTime format, and the only video editor I have, Windows Movie Maker, only takes stuff in MPG, AVI, or WMV. So I had to convert it, thus the low quality. I was able to add in the TL background music, though, to zazz it up a bit.

Anyway, here it is for your viewing pleasure:

Hehehe, that was pretty cute and she was even laughing...I would have probably been left on the side of the road if it were my wife! Nice video thanks for sharing.

IC, if you were driving none would be able to take video you maniac! and yes, i think your wife should, i mean would, leave you on the side of the road. I have heard some of your comments about females and other drivers! sheesh! :o

Now i have a funny mental image of you standing on the side of the speedway with your thumb out!

Hehehe...I'm not that bad Morningsky. But I do have to go to sleep if riding while my wife drives. Makes the trip go by soooo much faster and a lot less stressful. Of courese I prefer to drive if at all possible

Fun video FutureGuy ~ your wife is a good sport :D
Makes me appreciate Disneyland's Autopia much more with the different terrain and funny street signs...WDW is a bit on the plain side :(

Very cool video. I definitely enjoyed watching your wife hitting the beam and going back and forth like that. It looks we both drive the same way on the Tomorrowland Speedway! The only difference is that I usually end up hitting the car in front of me... but that is only because my brother Mark is driving it!

Did the speedway just reopen following the rain? I don't think I have ever been on it when the track was that wet.

I doubt you will remember, Future Guy, but what time did you take that at? I know it just rained and was dark out because of the clouds but it would be interesting to see MK lit up like that in the middle of the day!

That was a great little video FutureGuy! Thanks for sharing!

Amy ~ I hear ya about feeling the appreciation for DL's Autopia. The speedway is definitely pretty plain.

It was early evening, not too long before sundown IIRC.
