iPod docks at SSR?

OK, 'tis me again. I am only about two weeks away from my trip and still feel as though I have many things to prepare.

I am wondering if anybody knows if there are iPod docking stations ("radios") in the rooms at Saratoga Springs Resort? I saw in photos of Bay Lake Towers that they are in those rooms and am curious to see if they have placed them in other resort rooms as well. I'd like to know if I need to pack a recharging cord for my iPod or not.

Thanks in advance.

We stayed at the Beach Club resort in February of this year, and the two rooms we were in both had iHome systems.

Hope it helps :)

I too leave for WDW in 2 weeks (land on Oct. 4th). I don't know about the ipod docs, and I am staying at the boardwalk but I will report back if they exist there or not.

I'd be interested to know about the dock at SSR since I am returning there in January for a golf trip and staying there with friends and family for a mancation - we all own ipods.

Thanks for your help mattcubmore. I would hope that since BLT has them and the Beach Club resort had them, they would be phasing them into all the resorts. iPods are a part of many people's lives now, so it would be nice to have them in our room.

Swede375, I'll report back after my trip (10/3 - 10/14) if SSR has them or not (if nobody else has reported it already).

I know the Yacht Club also has them in every room, even if it had not been refurbished yet. I would say it is safe to say that all Deluxe resorts have it and that Disney is gradually phasing the iHome into the other resort rooms. I personally think they would have them at SSR.

After some quick research and googling: http://www.hospitalitynet.org/news/1540 ... 22ihome%22

Looks like all rooms at the SSR have it!

Len90,

Thanks for finding that article. That is a big help for my planning. Also, being able to use my iPod will provide a different alarm than local radio. Nothing like waking up to the Soarin' soundtrack. :)

It is tough, but for me Spectromagic might be better to wake up to. I would definitely double check by calling the hotel, but you should be good to go.

I know for a fact the treehouses do. Safe bet the rooms do to. :) I can call if you'd like. As an SSR CM, I can find the right person to ask.

Soarin08, I am leaving on Saturday (woo hoo!!!!), if you wouldn't mind calling and letting me (and others here) know, that would be apprectiated. One less charger wire to have to buy and put in the suitcase will make things a tiny bit less confusing.

My room will be a studio.

Thanks.

If I recall correctly, the iHome's at the WDW resort will work with the iPhone but will not charge it. I don't know if that is what you were planning on using it for though.

Len90,

I have only an iPod Classic (recent generation, can't remember which one) where the USB cable plugs into the bottom. So, no worries about the iPhone not recharging on an iHome.

Thanks

I might be wrong and could be confusing it with the ones at Hilton owned hotels. It is tough to remember those small little details from every place.
