Bus route at Saratoga Springs
Hello to all,
I will be staying at Saratoga for the first time this year and it will also be my first time without a rental car. I am going to put in a request for a certain section, but am curious as to what order the busses run through the resort's sections.
Also, does anybody have their own suggestions as to what section is the best to stay in?
I do know that requests are not guaranteed, but I would like to think that my chances are better having asked, rather than not asked at all.
Thank you.

Are we there yet? When can we go back?
I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

We've stayed at the paddocks the 3 times we have been there. It is the 3rd stop when you come home from a park and has 2 stops after when you want to leave. We stayed in 5101-5436 all 3 times.
We also normally just walk across the bridge to the last stop (forget the name - it is the one close to the main pool) which goes straight out when you want to leave. Usually we get something quick to drink at Artist's Palette.
Here is a map... the buses normally come in to the grandstand first and then turn around and go clockwise (FYI... this was how it was when I was last there...).

Have a great trip!!

Hmmm, based upon that info, Grandstand 8501 - 8836 looks like the best. If Grandstand is the first stop on the way in, then returning from the parks are easy, and it seems like only a short walk away from the last stop near the main pool.
I am also playing the "All-Star transportation game". If you are staying at Sports, you are the first stop and get a near empty (if not empty) bus in the morning. Movies usually has a near full bus after stopping at Sports and Music. I am figuring that if I am near the first stop, then my chances of a near empty bus are better, and I am not too far from another stop (main pool) if they should change the order around.
It seems, also, that the Grandstand isn't too far of a walk from DD and then I can bus to other resorts from there for some of the dining reservations I have.
Thank you for you help.

I worked at SSR. I would recommend the Springs. Right across from the main pool, the Artist's Palette food court/sundries shop, and Turf Club Bar and Grill. It's the LAST stop though, but buses at SSR run quicker than at others, I've noticed. I've sometimes seen three MK buses right behind each other in the mornings.
Route goes-
Grandstand
Paddock
Carousel
Congress Park
Springs

Thank you both Soarin and swede for your help.
I do have another question, if you don't mind.
I am guessing that the buildings at SSR have three floors. Are there elevators in each building to get to the upper floors, or are there stairs only. My wife has some difficulty at times climbing stairs, so if there are no elevators, I know I need to make a request for a first floor room.
Thank you once again.

metsofny,
It has been many years since I have relied on Disney busses to move around the World. The most recent was 2005 when I stayed at All-Stars and the busses ran rather well. But then again they had to move thousands of people at that resort.
The only other time was 10 years earlier at CBR and I was turned off by the bus transportation b/c of that trip. I saw exactly what you had described. When I wanted to got to the Magic Kingdom, I sat and watched five Epcot busses come by in addition to other busses before I saw a MK bus. I was so tepted to just take one of those Epcot busses and hop the monorail to MK. Probably would have been quicker and easier.
