Has anyone been on the Behind The Seeds Tour? As we are having an "adult" trip to WDW in August, we have reservations for this tour. Would love any input, tips, or suggestions!

Ooooooh, when we were there this past May, we wanted to do that so badly, but didn't get a chance. When we went on Living with the Land, we saw people with CM's getting the tour. Looked really cool! You'll have to let me know if you liked it! Sorry I'm no help right now to you though.

I thought about doing it, but had no time. We went on Living With the Land at around 11:55PM on our next to last day. I was very interested in what they have there, but unfortunately we lacked the time to do it. Also, since when has the Living with the Land tour been all pre-recorded. I went on it in 2006 and I remember having a CM sitting in the front talking on a mic.

We did it in 2005 with DD. It was alright. Basically just a walking tour of everything you see on the living with the land ride, not that much more indepth like I was hoping for. There were 10 total in our group with the cm and I think it was an hour to hour and a half. We tried some fruit, felt some rice, looked closer into the hydrophics system but I was hoping for more...

Thank you so much for the input! Trying some fruit and touching things sounds like fun. You know how you float through... I have always wished we could get out and smell and touch! I will report on it when we get back!

Have fun and let us know how it was. I've always wanted to do the Behind The Seeds Tour. Maybe one of these days when I'm retired and can stay longer-----

A long, looooong time ago we did it. My grandfather owned greenhouses and basically could have led the tour. He knew more than the tour guides. It was interesting to see everything, but depending on your background it may or may not be terribly educational.

Hey Len, I do remember way back when having a CM along for the ride. And when we went on Oct. '07, it was pre-recorded. I'm not sure when the switch happened though?!

Looking forward to hearing about this tour!

Back from our trip! The Behind the Seeds tour was really cool! I would highly recommend it to everyone interested in a more in depth look at the greenhouses at the Land Pavillion. There were 10 people and one CM. His name was Danny, a Entomologist (an insect expert!). It was about 1 1/2 hours, going throughout the greenhouses and fish areas. He explained how they grow plants, how they are going for a world's record on one plant or crop, and some of the records they have! We were able to feed the fish, they go crazy when you feed them. And were each given a test tube with Ladybugs in them to release the Ladybugs in the greenhouse! We tasted some delicious cucumbers, and were shown how they make them grow into a Mickey shape! All in all it was fun, informative, not too long, and really very enjoyable. :D

yodiwan, I love to use my Disney Visa for the discounts! Do you recall how much of a discount you get for the Behind the Seeds tour? Some of them vary. We've gotten 20% off for Dive Quest but only 15% for the Segway Tour.

I tihnk it was only like 10% because the tour was alreayd only like $15 or so.
