Rides & Attractions that just aren't the same after chan

I have realized after my last trip to the World in May that there are several rides, attractions or movies that should not have been changed or added for that matter.

I just wanted to see if anyone else feels the same way or has others that they miss!

True Colors movie - before Honey I Shrunk The Audience is a bad change, not as cute anymore.

American Idol Experience - Is kind of lame, not worth the time

The Tiki Room - I really don't like the changes at all. The original was a classic!

I agree about the Tiki Room. The good news is that the original version is still alive and well in Disneyland.

I am not a fan of the addition of Jack Sparrow in in 'Pirates of the Carribean' some people think it's really cool and I understand why Disney did it but still it kinda ruins it for me.

Another thing I don't like in that ride is the way they changed the visual gag of the pirates chasing women- until you see the third window with the fat woman chasing the pirate with the broom. Now all 3 pirates are being chased by the women while holding plates of food. It's just P.C.B.S. I.M.H.O.

I'm not a fan of the POTC change. Seeing Jack once, ok, fine..... multiple times. No.

AIE at DHS.... what a waste of time and space. What will happen when AI goes off the air? Again, another soon-to-be-dated attraction like it's Millionaire predecessor.

I am truly hoping that the SM refurb will be a good thing, just like HM. I'm a little worried though!

I think American Idol is a waste of space, I like the old JII with Figment and I seeing Capt. Jack once would've been a good addition w/o being too much. I also preferred the original Living Seas and Sea Base Alpha. Nemo is cute once and that's about it!

The Living Seas to The Seas with Nemo and Friends is not my favorite transformation. There are some cute bits, and it is nice to get the sea cabs back, but it is a bit too cartoony and takes away from the wonders that pavilion used to evoke.

I honestly almost dozed on it. However, on the bright side Mission Space got better after it's refurb and so did the Haunted Mansion.

Nobody knows for sure. It has been closed for the past couple of months for a major refurb. I have seen a crane behind it that appeared around July 9.

Wow, I actually like the Seas with Nemo. The old ride part of Sea Base Alpha had nothing to it. You just rode around for 2 miuntes seeing the same fish you could see standing looking out of the the rest of the aquarium. And Turtle Talk is pretty cool.

I don't mind the changes to the ride either, and Turtle Talk is definitely worthwhile...It's funny seeing how many times the kids ask Crush "How old are you?" in a single show.

I'm also not the biggest fan of "the Haunted Mansion" with the "Nightmare Before Christmas" characters. Thankfully that's not a permanent change.

In my opinion those characters don't blend well in the HM environment at all. Their presences is jarring. However- they look cool enough that I really think TNBC should just be it's own ride. It could be similar to HM but not exactly the same.

Never saw it with the Christmas changes. I don't think I'd like it.

Living Seas w/ Nemo and Friends isn't too bad. It's like a rich piece of cheesecake, you have to take it in small quantities. It's one of those rides that you can skip if necessary, but you should ride every couple of years or so. But on a positive note, the effect in the queue line that makes it appear you are going under water is cool.

(If you haven't noticed it, as you go down the ramp, you descend to the "water line" and after passing through the doorway, look up and you will see things like a fishing line and the underside of a boat. Good theming I do have to say).

I am in full agreement about POTC. Adding Jack Sparrow once would have been fine (maybe with the gold at the end), but what they did was overkill. If the Imagineers asked themselves, "what would Walt do?" about this change, they surely didn't listen. I doubt that Walt would have wanted his Pirates commercialized.

I have often wondered when Eddie Murphy is going to show up in HM.
