Dining options at CBR

Post by emnbensdad » Mar Sat 07, 2009 7:36 am

I am going to be spending one night at CBR next month. I'll be there early enough to have a late dinner. Has anyone eaten at Shutters? Should I make reservations?

Any help is appreciated!

Try for Reserevatons. If you can't get in, the food court has some good, cheap food (meatball sub, chili dog, other various "fast food" type stuff).

general rule to follow - if it's a sit-down, table service type restaurant, you should always call for reservations. some places (like ESPN zone, I believe) don't take reservations, but many inside the parks/hotels do. so it's always better to at least call and check...

Cool. Thanks for the suggestions. Has anyone eaten there? How is the food? Any reviews?

Yes, I have eaten there. It's been a few years ago. I had the prime rib. I enjoyed it very much. (never met a chunk of meat I didn't like) My wife said she remembers hot wings, they were the best she ever had. My daughter remebers some pasta thing, thats all she can remember.

We also dined there in the past. It was surprisingly one of our best meals! The coconut shrimp was excellent and we also did the prime rib. Very good shutters pototoes. I stuffed myself that night trying to eat it all and suffered that night from eating too much but it sure was good!

Correct, but one thing I noticed about ESPN is they make you wait, even when there is nobody ahead of you. Anyone else notice that?

I've noticed that too! Since we usually stay at the Boardwalk, we eat at ESPN quite often (we're not a huge sports family, but the food comes out fast and it's easy to get to). We usually go for an early dinner so we can head over to Epcot and usually arrive at about 5:00. We have ALWAYS had to wait, even though the place is almost dead at that time! Kind of weird...

We eaten at ESPN many, many times. I don't ever remember anything we didn't like. The food is well above you local sports bar. If you get a booth they have video games the kids can play for free and no matter where you sit you can watch most any game going on at the time. It's a very fun place if you're a sports fan.

I don't remember having this happen at off hours. We've have had to wait for a long time during peak hours, or during playoff time.

I've got reservations for 9:00. Hopefully, they won't be too busy that late. Plus, as long as my flight is on time, I'll have a little time to wander around WL. I've never been to that property. Gonna scope it out for our next stay in 2010.
